XCLUSIV FOTOS: Joselyn Dumas Falls On Stage!

Yet another female celebrity has experienced ‘the great fall’ in public but this could not beat Amanda Jissih’s record.

Ghanaian actress and TV presenter, Joselyn Dumas fell on stage when she wore the very high “gargantuan” boots of eccentric Nigerian TV presenter, Denrele during a taping of O News Live at the Silver Star Towers, in Accra yesterday Sunday August 11, 2013.

Denrele who had Joselyn as a guest on his couch threw a ‘truth or dare’ at the actress. Joselyn chose to dare Denrele, which resulted in Denrele asking her to take off her Christian Louboutin shoes.

Joselyn was then made to wear Denrele’s boots and when she tried to dance in the boots, she took a mighty tumble. She fell flat on stage and Denrele and Yvonne Okoro had to help get her back on her feet.

Joselyn didn’t seem too happy about the situation “Am really pissed at you for embarrassing me in front of the whole Africa. I will never forget this day”, Joselyn told Denrele.

When it was her turn to take the ‘truth or dare’ question Yvonne Okoro who was on stage with Joselyn and saw what happened to her obviously went for truth to avoid any public embarrassment.

BBA-The Chase: Elikem Warns Beverly!

Beverly was in a good mood this morning talking to Elikem about the Evicted Housemates she’s looking forward to seeing at the finale. She said she couldn't wait to see Hakeem, Bassey, LK4 and Sulu.

But the conversation took on a serious tone when Elikem asked her about Angelo. “Ah he is with me everywhere,” she said. “Angelo is with me forever.”

Elikem called her back into the bathroom for a quick frank discussion. “It’s not that I’m hating or anything, but I’m just saying,” he tells her.

The Ghanaian designer went on to warn Beverly about making the right choice once The Chase is over. He wants her to carefully consider her hopes for a long-term relationship with Angelo as he may not have the same plans and was also worried about their age difference.

“Make the right choice. Open your eyes that’s all,” he said.He then reassured her that their relationship could work regardless of their 15-year age difference. “Sometimes nice things are hidden behind ugly surfaces, like gold,” he told her.

Beverly then quietly walked into the bathroom and sat alone in deep contemplation for a while. Elikem ended their conversation with: "Do what you gotta do, you've been through a lot and you are a big girl."

Angelo, Bimp and Dillish are up for possible Eviction this week. Vote here to keep your favourite Housemate in the game.

Music Awards Turns ‘Who You Know’ Awards

Okra Tom Dawidi
Ghanaian Hip life sensation Okra Tom Dawidi has taken a swipe at Charter House, organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), describing the entire event as ‘Who You Know’ awards.
“The board, academy and organizers of the VGMA are not doing the right thing.  Now the whole event has become a ‘who you know thing’.
If you know someone there who will be fighting on your behalf then you will take all the awards,” the ‘Do Da Dance’ singer told NEWS ONE.
The musician complained that an artiste whose managers do not have links with the organizers or a member of the board is not likely to bag any nomination.
He said this situation does not allow for a true reflection on which musician is really worthy of an award and which musician is just being favoured by the organizers.
“We even have a situation where some members of the board have a direct interest in some musicians and I wonder how a conflict of interest would not occur…I don’t really understand the concept behind the whole thing because there is nothing Ghanaian about it.
There is no monitoring agency that checks the dates that artistes drop their songs and what goes into it and all,” Okra told NEWS ONE.
Okra Tom who is making a comeback from his 4-year musical hibernation told NEWS ONE in an exclusive interview that there are various musicians in the industry who are pushing to fly the flag of Ghana high but are not being recognized.
Various stakeholders in the industry like Guru, Asem and Nana Omane  Acheampong among others have recently raised genuine concerns about the way the VGMA organizers compile their nominations list.
It would be recalled that Asem, in an interview with radio and Television personality Eddie Blay, questioned the credibility of the VGMA.
Nana Omane  Acheampong also exposed the flaws in the nomination process recently.

Tonto Dikeh Blasts Samini

In an attempt to defend her fellow countrymen, Nigerian actress Tonko Dikeh has jabbed Ghanaian dancehall icon Emmanuel Samini for questioning the originality of their ‘Alingo’ dance.
Samini threw a lyrical punch at Nigerian duo P-Square for stealing Ghana’s Azonto dance and modifying it into Alingo in his cover song.
But Tonto, who took offence, poured her frustration on social platform twitter, saying: “Azonto is Azonto n Alingo is Alingo!
So waz his stress gosh! Ova d years 9ja has been bringin out dif dance moves no diss of copywrit!”
Several Ghanaians have suggested on social platform Facebook and Twitter that the Nigerians are bitter because they did not create the Azonto dance.
“Why not Azonto and Alingo meet face to face in an international dance competition and let’s see which has got swag,” a comment sampled from twitter.com stated.
Tonto noted that sometimes she wondered why most Ghanaians always looked for “Nigerian’s trouble”.

“ @samini_dagaati HEY hold it rit dere! cuz if u think abt startin drama here on twitter beliv me am ready to bring it to your door stepOK,” she added.
According to the Nigerian actress, respect was the key of life and she believed Alingo was Alingo and Azonto was also Azonto “so sit in your zone and stop throwing stones to the glass house”.
The trend on various social platforms online suggests that a lot of Ghanaians are in favour of the campaign   Samini is championing.
Peter Okoye, a member of the music duo P-square, also tweeted, “Don’t you worry your pretty little mind. People throw rocks @ things that shine”. The group has not made any official statement on the issue.

‘Dumso Dumso’ Movie Hits Town

 Lil Win
Ghanaian movie producers and directors have a way of reflecting happenings in society in their movies and it therefore comes as no surprise that there is a new Ghanaian movie that tells the story of the ongoing load shedding of electricity.
The movie, ‘Electricity Power’, is currently causing a stir in Kumasi and other parts of the country, not only because of the story line, but also because the director used some of the best broadcast journalists from the Ashanti Region as actors.
Journalists from the Ashanti region that played leading roles in the movie include Mmrantee Hene from Otec FM, Nana Ampofo from Fox FM, Nowa King from New Mercury FM, Roman Fada, Dove FM, Eugene Moratt, also from New Mercury FM, DJ Cosby from Light FM and others whose names were not readily available.
They were cast alongside celebrated actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, seasoned actor Akrobotu, the Kumasi-based sensation Matilda Asare and Kumasi-based gospel artiste Lady Diana.
“It is the public who changed the name to ‘Dumso Dumso’ after we first released the movie some five weeks ago.
The original name was ‘Electricity Power’ and because of the high demand for it, we decided to continue the story.
The continuation would be on the market this week.
“Movies are not just to entertain, they are also to educate and that is why we decided to use this to give some education of how fraud and dubious characters can cause a whole community to suffer from erratic power supply”, Eugene Morrat, the Executive Producer told NEWS-ONE.
He said what people forget is that when there is disruption in power supply, a lot of local businesses run at a loss and that the movie tells the story of someone who went for a loan to set up a cold store for his wife but the business collapsed due to erratic power supply and the woman had to go into prostitution to support the home.
‘Electricity Power’ was directed by Jones Agyeman and is from the stables of E&E Productions
