Delay Strips Naked: Over Kobi Rana

Delores Frimpong Manso aka Delay, Ghana’s hottest and erotic radio hostess who insists she is still a virgin, literally went naked and roamed the compound of her Mataheko residence in anger when NEWS-ONE reached her over reports that she had proposed love to actor cum musician, Kobi Rana.
“What? Oh no…oh no….don’t do this…you can’t do this. Me? Propose to that boy? Rana?
Oh hell…I can’t take this…I was in the bath house when you called me and you’ve made me come out naked wearing nothing, walking around and shouting.
I will call you; wait and see,” an outraged and apparently naked Delay told NEWS-ONE.
She continued by saying, “Why is it always me? Why am I the one always being linked to this guy or that guy? I have a life to live.
I am human so please understand I have feelings and I have relatives. This is just too much for me.”
The female celebrity has an admirable shape with a good pair of boobs and to have seen her walking around naked in anger would have indeed been interesting.
NEWS-ONE called Delay after the paper stumbled on reports on an online media, www.ghanagossip.com, a subsidiary of www.talkofgh.com, that “Delay has proposed to Rana but the young musician and actor was very infuriated about the lady’s proposal.”
A few minutes after NEWS-ONE had spoken to Delay, she called back and explained that she hardly knows Kobi Rana and that the only time she got in contact with him was when he played a role in her ‘Afia Schwazznegger’ television series.
Kobi, when contacted, said though he finds Delay very attractive, he is not amorously attached to her as being speculated in the media.
“Hell no, hell no! I don’t have any sex relationship with Delay. She dey be; if I get her, I will do it but serious there is nothing going on between us.
She is a strong lady. She is creative and artistic and she has no limit in the entertainment industry.
“Seriously that is what’s up. Every ambitious man should like to date her but she hasn’t proposed to me as people are saying. I don’t know where people are getting their facts from.”
Rana stated: “It is not true. Nothing of such happened. She did not propose to me…
She is a very good old friend. She called me for her ‘Afia Schwarzeneger’ series last week.
We also discussed business proposals about promoting Rana’s latest song. Prior to that, I met her on two occasions at Rhapsody at the Accra Mall for a business discussion.
It is not what people are thinking. I’m a free person and anybody should approach me if they have reasons to think that Delay is proposing to me.”
Delay is a radio and TV personality with OMAN Fm, Net2 TV and TV3. She is also the CEO of Excellencia (media production house) and Smooch, a fashion shop.
Kobi on the other hand is a musician, movie director, actor and script writer as well as a dancer. His ‘2bad’ movie has just been released and is enjoying huge sales.
Also, Kobi is preparing to shoot his upcoming movie with working title: ‘Hotel Babylon: Where Cloths Are Naked’.
The movie will feature some top actors from Ghana and Nigeria as well America.

No Comment: Eddie Watson Replies Sika Da Diva

Actor Eddie Watson has given a casual ‘no comment’ response to reports that fellow actress Sika Da Diva is head over heels in love with him and has even started having funny dreams about him.

News-One broke the story this week that Sika Da Diva had fallen in love with Eddie but has not gathered enough courage to approach him.

The pretty actress has however told a lot of her friends that she has strong feelings for Eddie and she indeed confirmed the development when NEWS-ONE contacted her over the matter.

But Eddie would not open up and speak his mind about Sika’s love when News-One reached him. “No comment” and a broad smile was his only response when News-One’s Francis Addo asked what Eddie thought of the whole saga last Wednesday.

He has since left for Liberia with other stars including Frank Artus, Yvonne Okoro, Yvonne Nelson and Abdul Salam, apparently for the premier of a new movie. Meanwhile, Sika has reportedly taken to Facebook to explain herself. “Oh gosh fresh trouble for me,” she posted on her Facebook page.

The actress has reportedly made a u-turn about her claims, telling her friends that she was just joking about Eddie Watson.

Ghanaian Actresses Sex Video Scandal: Jackie Appiah Breaks Silence

It is very obvious screen goddess Jackie Appiah will never forget the day News One newspaper published the sensational “ sex video” story.
She has expressed her disappointment at the publication by “News One” over such a sensitive story without any shred of proof or evidence, ostensibly to tarnish her image.
“We have families and we have fans, so if you write something like this about us in one way or the other it affects us…I was really disappointed in the newspaper that published such a fabricated story. It’s really bad how some newspapers want to make money…It’s a shame. It’s very bad because there was no truth in what they published. There is no such thing as sex video, it all lies and just a plot to tarnish people’s image. This didn’t affect me alone.
“The whole entertainment industry and movie industry in particular was hurt because they didn’t mention any names and now everybody was speculating and pointing fingers at wrong people. What we were all waiting for was for them to mention names then prove their video in court, but they run away with the story and they could come out with anything. But by the special grace of God we have moved on,” she said.
Jackie made this passionate disclosure when questioned about the alleged sex video in an exclusive interview with Kwasi Aboagye on Peace FM’s “Entertainment Review”.
It will be recalled that News One first reported in its February 14th, 2010 edition about the controversial tape with the headline “3 Top Ghanaian Actresses in Sex Video”. According to the story, they had in their possession a video involving a Nigerian businessman who is based in Ghana, having sex with three popular Ghanaian actresses separately. Though the paper did not mention any names, it gave clues which seem to suggest that the ladies were Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari and Lydia Forson.
When the story first broke, Mr. Bennett Akuaku, Editor–in-Chief of “News One”, stood by it and publicly promised Ghanaians on Peace FM, TV3 and other media outlets that they will mention names and publish images of the actresses in the act in their subsequent editions, but up till date, the paper has not substantiated their claims.
This Jackie said, is enough vindication that no such sex video exists. According to Jackie, she did not react to the story when it initially broke because no name was mentioned in the story.
Jackie live at the studios of Peace FM with panel members of “Entertainment Review” showcased her awards.
The newly crowned Best Actress in Africa at the just ended AMAA in Nigeria, seized the opportunity to clear the air about the controversy surrounding her award.
She acknowledged that she indeed did win the award together with Lydia Forson and Naa Ashorkor Mensah Doku because the three of them played the lead role in “Perfect Picture”, but stressed that, she can only speak for herself when she is interviewed and “which will not change the fact that the three of them won the award.”
When asked about her opinion on the recent increased in sex scenes in Ghanaian movies and whether acting partially nude in movies has had a telling effect on her marriage, Jackie said “most of the sex scenes appear the way we see them by the power of editing and it has not affected her marriage in any way, because her husband understands her profession and is sometimes there with her on set.”
Jackie Appiah began professional acting when she featured in her first movie “Divine Love” produced by Venus Films. That was after she made her first TV appearance in a soap opera “Things We Do For Love” where she played ‘Enyonam’. She has since starred in countless best-selling movies.
Before her AMAA this year, Jackie won AMAA for Best Supporting Actress in 2007. Her latest movies on the market are “Who Loves Me?” produced by Venus Films and “The Supremo” produced by Peace Films.
The pretty actress is currently on set shooting a new movie titled “Black Mail” which is being produced by Diamond Films.
After the Africa Movie Academy Awards held on April 10, 2010 in Nigeria, Jackie was invited to Nigeria as the only Ghanaian at the official launching of the first ever African International Film Festival launched in Lagos on Friday April 23, 2010. She graced the night with fellow actresses Genevieve Nnaji, Ini Ido and Rita Dominic.

Between Mike Ezuruonye & Mercy Johnson

Star actors, Mike Ezuruonye and Mercy Johnson have left the trenches, opting to give peace a chance. According to sources, the hitherto warring thespians are now friends after a bitter fight.

Allegedly locked in a show of ego and supremacy, Ezuruonye and Mercy Johnson’s feud lasted for months and was only resolved now the latter is getting married. The duo, we were told, even had to exchange bitter words at a location after which they stopped talking to each other.

In fact, those who were asking Mike Ezuruonye about his friend’s (Mercy) wedding plan were bluntly told to go and ask her. But just weeks to her wedding,Mj as Mercy Johnson is fondly called and Mike Ezuruonye have sheathed their sword, agreeing to rekindle the flame of their once enviable friendship.

Recall, Mercy Johnson personally attended Ezuruonye and Nkechi’s wedding in Isiala Mbano and Owerri, Imo State. She was one of the few actors that even made gift items on behalf of the couple.

Although, she missed their white wedding in Lagos (months after), MJ also showered guests with souvenirs in the name of Mike and Nkechi.
Little wonder Ezuruonye made up with Mercy, who is tying the knot on August 27, 2011 to enable him participate fully in the talk of the town nuptials.

Van Vicker To Arrest Imposters On Facebook

Van Vicker
Social networking has taken centre stage in the country lately and causing lots of havoc to the masses out there. However, the advantages some of these networks bring to their users can never be downplayed as well.

Multi-talented actor Van Vicker who is not on face book and twitter complained on the extent at which people go to soil his hard earned reputation all in the name of social networking. Our findings show that the Ghanaian actor has about twenty three names registered with his identity and image on face book.

In a chat with the Globacom network (GLO) ambassador (Van Vicker) he revealed to us that “I just don’t get it. But why should these (fraudsters) guys ask for money from other people in my name? I’m not on face book and twitter” he yelled.

When asked how he plans to clamp down these fraudsters, the chief executive officer of the Van Vicker foundation and Sky + Orange replied. “I’ve sent out a team to investigate all these and hopefully, we will get all those involved in these God forsaken acts. It’s just a matter of time and I believe all will end well”. He added

Actress Sika Da Diva Loves Eddie Watson

Falling in love with someone and not being able to confess it can be a devastating experience but it is heartbreaking to see the one you love fall in love with someone else.

That is the exact situation in which rising actress Sika Da Diva finds herself since she fell head over heels in love with fellow rising actor Eddie Watson. Sika says she has been having funny dreams about him.

The actress basically has not gathered enough guts to propose love to the actor perhaps because in this part of the world, ladies simply do not propose to guys. It has always been the other way round.

“Hmm, we are really surprised at her behavior. Weeks ago, we were with Sika at the Aphrodisiac Night Club when Eddie came around…She could not control herself and was just staring at him first to get his attention and he noticed it. She wants a way to get Eddie’s attention at all cost but she is finding it difficult. She even wants to play a romantic role with him in a movie in the not-too-distance future,” a close friend of Sika revealed to News-One.

When ‘News-One’ contacted Sika over the issue, she initially expressed anger, then surprise before admitting that she indeed is dying for Eddie. “I am falling for somebody and so what? Yes I remember saying I had a crush on Eddie but that does not mean I want to have sex with him,” she stated but refused to explain what exactly she meant by having a crush on the actor.

Sika revealed however that she had been having ‘funny dreams’ about Eddie. News-One checks reveled that both Sika and Eddie are currently single. She stated her choice of a man to News-One: “I like a physically built man. I mean an athletic person with a flat tummy, who is not fair. He should not be too short and must be taller than me. He should be God fearing, loving, hard working and besides everything, he should understand my job as an actress.

I'll Arrest Nana Boroo - SK Blinks

Singer cum rap artiste SK Blinks has sworn he will ensure that copyright laws of Ghana deal with ‘Ahayede’ crooner Nana Boroo following a fresh disagreement between the two over Boroo’s malaria song.

The singer’s management has stated categorically that it will ensure Nana Boroo gets arrested, sent to court and imprisoned for at least 3years.

News-One broke the story that Boroo included Blink’s voice in his new song for a malaria project without his (Blink) consent. Blink threatened to go to court last week Monday, but no lawsuit has been heard of so far.

Meanwhile, reports say Boroo is currently cruising in America and perhaps that could be the reason why the law suit has delayed. SK Blinks told Happy Fm on Saturday that he has forgiven Boroo for ‘stealing’ the Ahayede song however; he wanted answers to why his voice was used on the new malaria song without his permission.

Manager David Sylvester said on the show that they made contact with somebody from Boroo’s camp (name withheld) to meet with his management to find a lasting solution to the problem at stake.

However, he warned that Boroo has not done the right thing so his management will make sure that they deal with him to serve as a deterrent to others.

Ja Rule Sentenced To 28 Months In Prison

Rapper Jeffrey Atkins, also known as Ja Rule, was sentenced Monday to 28 months in prison for failing to file tax returns with the IRS after admitting that he did not file his taxes for five years, the Justice Department said in a news release Monday.

The 35-year-old performer from Saddle River, New Jersey, had pleaded guilty to three of five counts before U.S. Magistrate Judge Patty Shwartz, who imposed the sentence in Newark federal court.

From 2004 through 2008, Atkins received royalties from ASJA Inc. and performance income from Rule Tours Inc., but failed to file returns that would have mandated he pay the government $1,137,912, the release said. Though he pleaded guilty to charges related only to the first three years, he will pay back taxes and penalties for all five, it said.

"Taxpayers do not have the luxury of deciding whether to comply with laws," Shwartz said in sentencing. She further sentenced Atkins to a year of supervised release.

The prison term announced Monday is to be concurrent with a previous sentence Atkins is serving on unrelated state charges.

Last month, Atkins turned himself in for a two-year prison sentence in New York after pleading guilty in December to attempted criminal possession of a weapon after police found a loaded semiautomatic firearm -- with the serial number scratched off -- hidden in the back seat of his luxury Maybach sedan, according to a statement from the Manhattan district attorney.

The incident occurred on New York's Upper West Side in July 2007.

In the months before his surrender, Atkins had been putting the finishing touches on a new album -- his first in six years, said his publicist, Courtney Barnes.

As Ja Rule, Atkins has won MTV Video Music Awards, Source Awards, a BET Award, a GQ Man of the Year Award, an NAACP Image Award, a World Music Award and a Teen Choice Award, according to the publicist's statement. He was also nominated for a Grammy Award in 2001.

Atkins said last month on WNYW's "Good Day New York" that he felt his childhood in Queens almost groomed him for prison and that "a lot" of friends were locked up.

In the interview, he said he regretted what his imprisonment would mean for his family. "I've got three kids," he said. "If there was anything that I regret, I regret that they have to go through this with me, and I'm not going to be there for them."

Atkins' lawyer, Stacey Richman, did not immediately return a call.

Come Friday July 22, 2011, the “Ahomka wom” hit makers will release their new single titled “CHANGE POSITION” live on five topmost radio stations in Accra; Peace FM, Okay FM, Joy FM, Adom FM and Hitz FM simultaneously on the drive time programs of the respective stations on the same day.

The group revealed this in an exclusive interview withPeacefmonline.com over the weekend.

Asked how all three of them can be at five different radio stations to release the single at the same time, Lazzy(real name: Abdul Hamid Ibrahim) the tallest among the group replied, "we want to heighten the surprise element so we won't disclose how we intend doing it; people should just be in an expectant mood and hold their breath till Friday".

Another member of the group, Prodigal (Joseph Nana Ofori) the man with the deepest voice among the trio said “This is very dear to us. We have had several hit songs in the past but trust me this song will blow the minds of listeners. We know our fans out there are expecting another bang from us and we have a lot of that on our new album. I really don’t want to talk much about the new single people should just listen to any of these radio stations on Friday”.

Prodigal also disclosed that apart from the 5 confirmed radio stations, they are still in talks with 3 other radio stations to come on board to release the single on the said date.

Asked why they have decided to do this on more than one radio station and why they chose radio instead of other available mediums, Promzy (real name Emmanuel Ababio) the main rapper in the group and “the man with the cat eyes” said “Well, we believe radio is the most accessible medium in Ghana and we really want the song to reach every corner so we want to seize the attention of listeners of the various radio stations at that particular time to hear the song for the first time. After that all the other radio stations will have their copies”.

D-Black and Dee Moneey Collaborate With Lil Wayne's Label

Ghanaian hiphop act and BET Awards nominee, D-Black has been dropping hints of possible collaborations with US rap stars on his Twitter page since visiting the US for the BET Awards and staying after to record with Ghanaian Billboard topping international music producer, Coptic among other things.

It appears that the rapper and his Black Avenue Muzik (B.A.M) label is connecting with Lil Wayne's Young Money Cash Money (YMCMB) label after both parties met up in L.A during the BET Awards. D-Black recently tweeted about the YMCMB/B.A.M connection and his label's youngest signee, Dee Moneey collaborating with Young Money’s Lil Chuckee. This collaboration between the youngest artists on both labels will be a follow up to Dee Moneey's smash first single, "Kpokpo O Body".

The B.A.M and Young Money Crew were spotted on the set of D-Black / Dee Moneey "Team Spirit" video shoot in Los Angeles where Lil Chuckee and Dee Moneey spoke about their new collaboration a music video in the works.

Black Avenue Muzik is surely connecting in various ways than one as D-Black is also set to drop a YMCMB Collaboration soon. Could it be with Drake, Mack Maine, Cory Gunz, Nicki Minaj or even Lil Wayne himself? It is also rumoured that D-Black and Dee Moneey are working with David Guetta on dance versions of some of their songs. In other related news, the music video for Dee Moneey's ‘Kpokpo O Body’ is set to drop next month.

Prostitutes In Marriage Appeal

A Zambian TV channel has launched a reality show to help former prostitutes find husbands, BBC reports. The 18 sex workers stand to win a cash prize of about USD 9,000 and have their wedding paid for.

Muvi TV, which is hosting the Ready for Marriage show, said it wanted to give them a second chance in life. "We want to make a difference to women's lives. These are people, after all," its spokesperson Coreena Paulina said.

The BBC's Mutuna Chanda in the capital, Lusaka, says there has been little controversy around the show. No other women have been included in the contest. A local preacher, Reverend Jeff Musonda, gave his qualified support to the sex workers' participation.

"If those people have transformed and stopped their acts, I find no problem. But if it's just for wooing viewership, I would have reservations," he told the BBC's Network Africa programme.
