Bow Wow Performs In Ghana

US artiste Bow Wow is set to storm Ghana as part of his global tour project.

Bow Wow is expected to be in Ghana by April or May and will feature in three shows including the much-anticipated Hallmark Expo scheduled for the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

The Hallmark Expo is in recognition of the abundance of creativity and business potential in the Ghanaian business world, and is set to elevate the creative industry in Ghana, a great nation that features an interesting mix of people, cultures and gateway for business in Africa.

The event is powered by Hallmark Multimedia Inc, SFL Entertainment LLC and supported by Adopted Culture UK, the DAILY GUIDE and Ghana Television.

Places Bow Wow is expected to perform include the Oil City (Sekondi) and Accra, on June 29, 2012 and July 2, 2012.

Azonto Dance In D’banj’s New Video

 

Ghana’s Azonto Dance is gradually filtering into every corner of world music.

The dance moves have gotten some spotlight in D’Banj’s official video for his ‘Oliver Twist’ hit song, which featured cameo appearances by Eddie Kadi, Sneakbo, Big Seun and Kanye West and directed by Sesan.

Sources said the video was leaked as it was yet to be officially released.

Dancers in the video borrowed a few steps from Azonto while a popular UK Azonto dancer, whose Azonto video garnered attention on YouTube recently, also made his usual Azonto moves in the video.

There are currently divided opinions on whether the video is of good quality or not.

While some described it as “whack,” others said it was another excellent job from for D’Banj.

“Waited so long for this video and I am so disappointed, the best bit was when the white man came in and started doing the Azonto.

Though it would have more reference to his Afrobeats background, to be honest I would prefer to watch one of the Oliver Twist cameo videos.”

“This video is far below my expectation. So full of yourself and all you did was just a big f*** up.

I thought with the entire stunt about people posting their videos for Oliver Twist, it was going to be impressive, but sorry am not impressed and what was that stunt Kanye was pulling feeling fly,” were some of the comments about  the video on YouTube. Others also asked why Don Jazzy was not in the video.

I’m A Student Prostitute

 

Actress Nana Ama McBrown has revealed some interesting secrets about her personal life: She sneaks out under the cover of darkness to learn the act of prostitution, NEWS-ONE has gathered.

The appealing actress said she learnt from prostitutes the art of seductive dressing, libido activation, charming poses and all about the trade.

What Nana Ama did not make clear was whether she also learnt the practical aspects of what prostitutes actually did behind closed doors.

The actress said she studied prostitution as if she was writing her final exams on the subject so as to enable her to play her role better as and when she got such roles in movies.

“I go out and watch people as in prostitutes. I’m sorry for using that word but I have to.

So I get to study… sometimes I drive around, especially when I have challenging roles. I go to places I could see that   kind of characters, that kind of people.

“So I drive around and see how they behave; besides I have heard a lot about prostitutes. So as an actress I put all that together and I rehearse along everyday as I live.

I don’t wait for scripts,” she told NEWS-ONE in an exclusive interview on her role as a prostitute in Kobi Rana’s ‘Hotel Babylon’ which was premiered last Saturday.

Nana Ama said because of the painstaking studies she had done on prostitution, playing the role in ‘Hotel Babylon’was as simple as a natural smile.

“I think I was born with acting. I mean I’m talented, I didn’t learn it.

What I do when I get a script is I read it over and over again just to understand the story and then get to understand the character I’m playing.

I know for sure there is a director but sometimes I see the movie and direct it from my point of view because I get to understand my character by rehearsing in my room, especially in the bathroom in front of my mirror.

“So before I go on set, I get to mark some of the things I want to say or do in the movie.

So working with a director who knows what he is doing makes it easier. So this role wasn’t really challenging. I’m used to it,” she explained.

Nana Ama worked with Nollywood top man Ramsey Nouah for the first time in ‘Hotel Babylon’. She described him as a down-to-earth person.

“That was my first time working with Ramsey Nouah. He is a nice person. Sometimes people judge people from afar but getting close they get to know he is not like that.

So we have to change our way of thinking about people. But I have not thought anything bad about Ramsey anyway.

I have worked with most of them and everybody is different. He is down-to-earth, that is what I can say about him.”

‘Hotel Babylon’ was premiered last Saturday and Nana Ama’s role was rated as one of the most exciting in the movie.

Ghana’s Most Beautiful Contestant Donate To Schools In Sunyani

Ms Suzy Kyei Boakye, 2011 third runner-up of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Icon, on Tuesday presented educational materials worth GHc 3,500 to Nyamaa Primary and Junior High Schools in Sunyani. Ghana’s Most Beautiful is a programme telecast on TV3 network, with support from Henkcom Multi Media Services in Kumasi. The materials comprised four computers and accessories, 1,000 exercise books, six dustbins and a number of hand washing bowls. Making the presentation in Sunyani, Ms Boakye, who is a 25 year-old final year agriculture engineering student at Sunyani Polytechnic, said it was her priority to promote girl- child education in the region. She advised the students to read their books and to respect school authorities to enable them to excel in the Basic Education Certificate Examination. Ms Boakye advised parents to provide their children with basic educational needs to sustain their interest in school. She urged the teachers to redouble their efforts in preparing the students to pass well in their examinations. Mr Kwasi Oppong-Ababio, Municipal Chief Executive, expressed the hope that all key actors in the educational sector, especially parents and guardians, would complement the efforts of the government by providing some basic learning materials to their children and wards.

‘My Dick Was Not Erect’

 

It is difficult to understand the relationship between award-wining radio and TV presenter Delores Frimpong Manso and controversial singer Wanlove Da Kobolor but after showing his dick to the former, the two were spotted by News-One on Tuesday night at the Kotoka International Airport.

Delores aka Delay was apparently seeing Kobolor off as he was on his way to the UK, en route Germany for musical concerts.

The huge controversy generated by the dick-showing saga is yet to die down and Kobolor seems absolutely unfazed about the whole issue.

He has rather expressed shock and surprise at the level to which Ghanaians have taken the issue and says it was nothing to him because the dick did not even erect when he showed it to Delay.

According to Kobolor, it would have been a big deal if the dick had erected but since it did not erect, he found nothing wrong with the whole show. Indeed, Kobolor’s wife was present when he raised his cloth to show the dick to Delay.

Another interesting twist that the public seems not to have noticed is that ETV Ghana, during the airing of ‘Talk Showbiz’ hosted by Flexy last Tuesday, telecast an uncensored version of the Kobolor dick exposure.

It was seemingly a production error but Flexy’s ‘Talk Showbiz’ is now on record as the only programme that has dared to show the Kobolor dick-showing video, uncensored, on national TV.

Top Politician Bonks House Girl

A top pathologist who belongs to a small political party in Ghana and has presidential ambitions has been caught having hot sex with his house girl. The politician is a well-known face within the Ghanaian media. He loves wearing smocks and asking people to develop healthy eating habits. He was caught by no other person but his own wedded wife while he was busily screwing the young housemaid in the master-bedroom and right on their matrimonial bed. The wife has filed for divorce and the case was pencilled for hearing last Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the Cocoa Affairs Court in Accra. NEWS-ONE gathered that though the politician had pleaded for an out-of-court settlement, he was unwilling to part with what the wife was seeking as compensation. Reports say the tension in his home is so high that the politician hardly sleeps at home since he was caught screwing the wrong meat. He apparently puts up at his family house, guest houses or with friends. Though not proven beyond doubt, reports suggest that the wife is outraged about the development because the politician has over the years had a problem zipping his flap and has unleashed his libido on a few damsels in their neighbourhood. The bonking pathologist has presidential ambitions and NEWS-ONE gathered from court sources that a copy of the court documents has found its way into the custody of other politicians who belong to his party and may be contesting flag-bearer primaries with him. Names and uncensored photographs will be dropped after the next court hearing.
