MERCY JOHNSON DECLARES WAR ON STAR ACTOR VICTOR OSUAGWU AND OTHER OF HER COLLEAGUES INTERESTED IN HER CASE

Click for Full Image Size

Report at our disposal reveals that embattled star actress, Mercy Johnson is currently mad and angry with leading Nollywood actor and comedian, Victor Osuagwu.

According to source, the reason for the former’s seething anger had to do with the harmless advice to the Kogi State born entertainer in the last week’s edition of EE magazine.

Mercy we were told immediately reported Osuagwu to their guild (AGN), after reading his brotherly advice to a beleaguered colleague.

She officially complained to AGN recently and begged them to warn Victor and other of her colleagues interested in her case to hands off and shut up because it’s a personal issue.

Below is a reproduction of Osuagwu’s advice to Mercy.

I am not in a better position to say anything because I don’t know how some people will cook up a story we don’t know how it all happened. Let us just watch and see what is going to happen.Honestly,it is saddening anyway if whatever people might have read or heard is true.

I think their marriage is barely two weeks from now. But till then, I will advise our Nollywood actress to always look front, back, right and left before they get into marriages.

Things like this have happened to a lot of them. It still pains me that most of them are getting themselves into such acts. We are not happy hearing about this, for instance, today alone(Sunday),about 12 fans called me to verify if it was true that Mercy Johnson snatched another person’s husband.

So we are advising them to always look before they leap. This also goes out to Nigerian men who are based abroad, I think they have to realize that whenever they come to Nigeria they should not disorganize these girls with anything they feel they could use in doing so all because of marriage.

I think it is high time the ladies set a standard for themselves also and think well. They should know that marriage is a lasting thing not something one should rush into. You have to know the person you want to marry very well.

It is my prayer that there will be an amicable resolution as we wait to see what happens in the coming weeks”

SENSATIONAL DUO,P-SQUARE IN THEFT SCANDAL

The duo of Peter and Paul Okoye popularly known as P- Square may have to contend with an allegation of song theft.

Nollywood star actress, Steph-Nora Okere recently alleged that the sensational duo stole materials from Jeje, one of the tracks in her yet-to-be released debut album. Incidentally, the 14-tracker album titled(THE INVATION) released by the twin-brothers on their Square Records (SR) has a song entitled Jeje, and featured RnB/Soul crooner, Waje.

The actress cum producer who is just making a foray into music sampled the opinion of Jude Okoye, the elder brother of the stars, several months ago with her own version of the song.

Steph-Nora reveals that she sought the opinion of the elder Okoye based on mutual respect and his experience as a moving force behind the success of P Square. The visibly upset actress says:“What they did was to remix the chorus of my version to a danceable track. That was not all; they also gave their version the same title, Jeje and featured Waje.”

She explains further: “I sent the song over to Jude via email and he listened to it. The next day I called him for his opinion and he said exactly these words ‘Stephnora the song is good but don’t release it like that because it doesn’t meet the standard of the Nigerian market’. I asked him what should be done and he suggested that I return to the studios and brush it up.

“As a brother and colleague, I took his advice and went back to the studio with my producer, Jiff. I also consulted with my manager, and we agreed to improve on the work ahead of the album launch, which I planned for this December. I finally completed the song in May/ June. But to my consternation, two weeks ago my personal assistant called my attention to P Square’s new album, which included a track entitled Jeje.”

Ope Banwo in his reaction disclosed that he intended to file a copyright infringement lawsuit against P Square next week if they do not respond to their demand letter. “This kind of thing should not be tolerated. P Square is a big group that should not take advantage of up and coming artistes and their friends. Stephnora trusted them and they stabbed her in the back,” he added.

Jude Okoye was contacted on phone,he denied stealing or tampering with Steph-Nora’s song. He however, challenged the actress to go to court if she feels otherwise, adding that she was only seizing the occasion to attract more attention to her acting career.

Movie Awards Boss Begs Juliet Ibrahim

Fred Nuamah, CEO of Ghana Movie Awards, has rendered an unqualified apology to actress Juliet Ibrahim over rising issues about the awards’ controversial car which is currently in the custody of actress Roslyn Ngissah.

The car, which was jointly won by Jackie Appiah, Juliet Ibrahim, Yvonne Okoro and Roselyn Ngissah at the last Ghana Movie Awards, was handed over to the latter sometime last week.

Fred reportedly gave the car to Roslyn because she requested for it, something which reportedly did not go down well with some of the remaining actresses.

Fred Nuamah told NEWS-ONE on Wednesday that he was rendering an unqualified apology to Juliet Ibrahim in particular for releasing the car to Roslyn. Fred said Juliet was the first to request for the car but he refused to present it to her because he thought all the four actresses would come so he presents it to them.

However that didn’t work. Hence, he decided to present the car to Roslyn, who recently approached the organizers of the awards.

Asked why he did not call Juliet for the car after his outfit decided they could give the car to any of the actresses, depending on who came forward, Fred said, “I think I must be fair to Juliet.

I want to say I am sorry. We apologize for not giving her the car from the initial stages.

She was the first to ask and even bring the idea that the four of them can drive the car to events to together to show how united they are. I am sorry Juliet. We have not been fair to her on that so we apologize.”

Tontoh Dikeh Mute On Lesbianism

Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh says she has no right to talk about lesbians, whether positively or negatively because she does not want to be judgmental and sound discriminatory.

Tonto made the comment last week in an exclusive interview when nigeriafilms.com when she was asked about her opinion on lesbianism in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Initially Tonto said, “That is their private life. I don’t have a right to talk about them or what they do or what they believe in. I have my different belief that works for me. If that works for them, they should knock themselves out. I don’t discriminate.”

But she added, “I mean it’s in the Bible. God destroyed a whole country because of the sin of being gay. God killed a whole country, knowing there could be kings, there could be pastors and righteous people in that country, so obviously, and it is bad.”

Tonto Dikeh is not a known lesbian. Some months ago, news broke that the sultry actress and the fast rising singer, Wizkid were having a well-shrouded romance.

“They are seriously bonking themselves,” the site said but things took a new turn when Tonto Dikeh debunked the report.

“Whizkid is just a friend on twitter. I am not in a relationship with him. Those that follow me on twitter know that I love calling my friends on twitter romantic names like honey, sweetheart, darling etc.

I guess that is what people saw about some of my tweets to Whizkid and started speculating that we are dating. There is nothing of such,” she reportedly said.

Beautiful Tonto entered Nollywood after she finished as 1st runner-up on Nigeria’s ‘Next Top Movie Star’ reality TV Show, and since then, her career has been progressing.

From Ikwere, Rivers State, Port-Harcourt, she is the third of five children, and a very simple person by nature. She attended the best schools in her state and continued at the Federal Government College.

She read Petro-Chemical Engineering at the Rivers State University Of Science and Technology. Tonto’s mom passed away while she was only 3 and her father who took care of her with the help of her step-mom. Her dad makes her feel special and does not want anything bad to happen to her.

While growing up, she had always wanted to act, but her father wasn’t too keen on it when she finally entered into acting because he thought it was a big derivation from her discipline at school.

Ramsey denies breaking his waist on movie set

A few weeks ago, reports indicated that star actor Ramsey Noah had been involved in a life threatening accident on set of a movie in Ghana. The story was that Ramsey crash-landed on a concrete floor when he fell from a building while trying a stunt on a movie set in Kumasi, Ghana. The actor has however expressed dismay at the story, saying it never happened:
“It is not true at all. That is why I don’t talk to journalist because what they do is carry fake stories. People have been calling me about this issue, but I don’t say anything about it because it pisses me off. I read that I broke my waist, but all these are lies. I was in Ghana for a film shoot and on set I fell from the ladder. It was nothing serious. It’s just that the people there got scared, but nothing happened to me. And before I knew it, the story had circulated that it was life threatening. After I came back from Ghana, the next day I went to RMD’s birthday party very healthy and not bend-walking.”

I Romanced A Woman Sexually –Actress

Ghanaian actress Chichi Neblett has said that she has never kissed any male actor in her 6-year career as an actress, but has rather sexually romanced a fellow female actress.
“I played the role of a lesbian where I had to romance this girl. I found it very difficult because I will not even find myself kissing a guy in movie let alone my friend woman. It was a little bit challenging for me. I was just faking it. I didn’t kiss her, I just gave her some serious pecks,” Chichi told NEWS-ONE.
Not many of Ghana’s beautiful and top actresses will be willing to play the role of a lesbian. Jackie Appiah once said boldly that she couldn’t play the role of a lesbian, but Chichi has done it. As to whether or not it is an enviable achievement, it is up to movie enthusiast to judge.
Chichi made her entry into Ghana’s movie industry in 2005, after her role in AA Production’s ‘Puncher Hole’. She subsequently appeared in other movies including Venus Films ‘Mummy’s Daughter’. But she went off the scene in 2007 to have her baby. She returned in 2009 and has since featured in a number of movies including ‘4play’, ‘Reason To Kill’, ‘Who Loves Me’ and a number of upcoming ones.
She said she could do anything to get to the top except going naked and displaying her beautiful body on TV screens as well as opening her legs to get roles.
“I will go to the highest, but the least I will do is naked myself {sic}. I can do any other thing but to naked myself {sic}. I can’t do that,” she reacted when asked what extent she would go to become a star.
“As at now, I am struggling to get there. It is not easy. I am struggling. I know with time, I will get there as far as movies are concerned. I am not finding it easy at all,” she said.
Chichi, who admires and looks up to actors Majid Michel, John Dumelo and Jackie Appiah, said she was prepared for any scandal that would come her way in the future as an actress.
She said she was aware the industry came with such issues, hence she prepared herself before joining the industry.
Chichi is a Liberian but has been based in Ghana for some time now. She is described as the latest sensation in Ghana’s movie industry. She is gradually getting the attention of Ghanaian producers as a viable face to market Ghanaian movies in Liberia.
Born and bred in the Liberia, she travelled to Ivory Coast at a tender age during the war in her country. But she returned home in 1999. The eldest of two sisters and mother of one, she came to Ghana in 2003.
Prior to that, she had her basic school education at the Assembly of God Mission School (1999) and continued at R. C. Lawson Institute.
She did cosmetology after she came to Ghana but she abandoned that for her acting dream.

Stella Damasus Absence At Mofe-Damjo's Birthday Stirs Controversy

Stella Damasus absence at Richard Mofe Damijo’s 50th birthday party held at Household of God Church,Oregun,Ikeja,Lagos on Sunday, July 31,2011 is now the talk of the town.

It’s even fueling speculations that the once-upon-a-time close pals may not be enjoying the best of relationships as was the case in the past.

But in a recent chat, Stella debunked the rumour, she said;“ I have no problem with RMD.I had an engagement that same day. That was Uche Jumbo’s Damage movie premiere. My NGO and the movie are pursuing the same cause. Stella Damasus’ defence, however, hasn’t settled the issue as “busy bodies” still insist all is not well with her and the Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism.

They alleged that RMD’s wife Jumobi, suspicious of Stella’s closeness to RMD, is no longer comfortable with it. Which may be why she shunned his 50th birthday bash. But some of her friends, who preferred to speak on anonymous note, said nobody can fault her good heart and intentions.

RMD and Stella had been quite close since the latter joined the movie industry. And generously benefiting from all necessary support when she was still in the industry; RMD had always been there for Stella. He was also a pillar of support when she lost her father few years ago (RMD was even at the burial to condole with the Damasus in Asaba,Delta State).

Now, rumour mongers are saying their relationship is cracking following her absence at his 50th birthday bash which attracted almost all his friends and admirers.

Mercy Johnson’s Wedding Not Cancelled!

Contrary to stories circulating online which has it that Nollywood Actress Mercy Johnson’s up-coming wedding is cancelled as a result of issues surrounding the marital status of his soon to be husband ‘Prince Odi’, the actress’ PR has stated categorically on radio that, the wedding is GONNA come on… Walahi so Mercy is ready to marry someone’s husband? What kind of desperation be this?

So I decided not to post anything on the on-going Mercy Johnson’s ‘husband’ snatching saga for several personal reasons. However, I got into a conversation with an industry friend today and for some reason, we landed on the issue of Mercy Johnson and Prince Odi.

I could not understand why she cannot simply call off the wedding. After all, it is more than obvious that her soon to be husband- Prince Odi has been lying or been hiding a lot from her.

How can Mercy Johnson proceed to marry a man who failed to tell her the truth about his children, a man who lied about his marital status among others?

My friend said something along the lines that, a Gossipa whispered to her that, Mercy Johnson is probably pregnant and that is the reason why she cannot just call off the wedding…

I am also told that, Mercy Johnson’s family has washed their hands out of the decision making on whether the wedding should come on or be called off.

The family surely prefers the latter but then it seems the pregnancy and the lot that Mercy Johnson has invested into the whole relationship-wedding planning, publicity and crap is eating into her head so she cannot even make a decision…
Hmmm! So Mercy Johnson is pregnant huh?

Nigerian Pastor: Ghanaian Actors Are Bewitching Nollywood Actors & Actresses And Killing Them

Following the controversial death of another prolific thespian in the Nigeria movie industry, Nollywood, the General Overseer of Consuming Fire Prayer Ministry, Ogba, Lagos, Pastor Sebastine Ndu, has claimed that rivalry is the cause of recurrent deaths in the Nollywood.

The clergyman, who reiterated that Nigerian actors need total deliverance against the scourge, said that the actors are being attacked by their counterparts in Ghana and South Africa.

“Nigerian actors have been outshining these people for many years and they (the foreigners) are desperate to take over. So Nollywood actors need total deliverance against all forces that may be coming from outside or within. The deaths are beyond ordinary,” Ndu stated.

In a chat with NollywoodReel, the man of God stressed that “in Hollywood and other movie sectors of the world, actors hardly die predominantly unlike it is in Nigeria and that calls for serious concern.”

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, had earlier told members of the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood and entertainers at large, that for them to be fulfilled in their chosen career, they need something supernatural.

Pastor Adeboye, made this statement on Sunday, 5 June, 2011, during a special prayer service organised for practitioners of the Nigerian entertainment industry at the Throne of Grace, Ebute-Meta, Lagos, headquarters of the church.

The programme was organised in a bid to pray against sudden deaths and negative occurrences that seem to have engulfed the entertainment industry, Nollywood in particular, for some years now.

Some of the movie personalities that attended the programme include Mike Bamiloye of Mount Zion Ministry and his wife, National President of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, Segun Arinze, Prince Jide Kosoko and his wife, Henrietta, Wale Adenuga, Pa James, Justus Esiri, Rachael Oniga, Hakeem Rahman, Yetunde Wunmi and Esther Idowu Philips, a.k.a. Iya Rainbow.

Others were Femi Ogedengbe, Kelvin Ikeduba, Ajala Jalingo, Madam Saje, Ayo Adesanya and Bimbo Oshin, to mention a few.

During his brief sermon and prayer session for the entertainers, Pastor Adeboye acknowledged that an average actor in Nigeria is extremely talented, but hinted that without supernatural connections, they cannot have a fulfilled career.

The popular clergyman explained that “success in life requires something supernatural. Talent alone is not enough,” adding that if success is being measured by hard work, labourers in Wharf should be the most successful.

“Entertainers in Nigeria are hard working and talented, but there is something missing. David would have died unknown but for divine intervention, but unfortunately, most people turn to the devil for help,” Adeboye said.

He therefore urged Nigerian entertainers to move closer to God, stressing that He is the only one who can crown their efforts and protect them from terrible occurrences. Adeboye added that a lot of entertainers have even died unknown with their talents simply because they could not connect with the supernatural power that can make their aspirations come true.

While citing King David in the Bible as an example, he said “David was a talented singer, but for years, he was only singing for the sheep. But when the king was in trouble, he needed a good singer to pacify him and that was how someone recommended David. He later became the king despite rumblings from other people. That is the supernatural connection I am talking about.”

So far, this year alone, notable thespians like Alasari, Ashley Nwosu and Yemisi Eleto have died, the latest addition being Sam Loco Efe.

Aki and Pawpaw Weep For Sam Loco

If only tears could bring back the dead, then the famous duo of Aki and Pawpaw (Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme), would have done that for their departed on-screen dad, Sam Loco-Efe, who died in Owerri, Imo State, on August 7.

Aki and Pawpaw have not stopped weeping and lamenting since the painful death of the iconic entertainer, who starred severally as their screen dad in numerous Nollywood flicks, was made public.

While reacting with tears in his eyes, stunned Aki, who still finds it very difficult to believe that the veteran actor is dead, said he would continue to relish the memories of their on-screen encounters.

“Sincerely speaking, it’s still very hard to believe that Marshall is dead. He was someone I learnt a lot from when it comes to script analysis, interpretation and delivery. Marshall was a masterpiece. I will miss him dearly, especially his humour and intelligence. His sense of humour was out of this world, I will miss him dearly,” he weeps.

Also lamenting, Aki’s twin-brother in Nollywood, Pawpaw in a quaky voice declared that Sam Loco’s death was a monumental loss, not only to Nollywood, but the entire entertainment industry globally.
“I’m deeply pained over the death of Marshall. He was a hard working and very nice man. He was somebody that constantly keeps you lively and entertained if you are with him. He inspired me right from the first time we met on the set of my first movie, which I luckily did with him. Marshall will greatly be missed by me because he had no duplicate in the entire acting world. Rest in peace my Marshall,” he cries.
In his tempestuous life time, Sam Loco and the Nollywood dynamites thrilled and tantalized movie buffs in many comic blockbusters.
In fact, it is believed that Sam Loco’s impact on their careers was one of the things that accelerated their rapid growth in Nollywood.

Actress: Agya Koo Can’t Bonk Me

Linda Abbey, actress and wife of celebrated actor comedian Augustine Abbey popularly called Idikoko, is mad over reports that she is having a clandestine love affair with top Ghanaian actor Agya Koo.

She has threatened to drag to court all the media houses that carried the story, including News-one.

“How can I be chasing him for love? Agya Koo cannot sleep with me because I am a responsible, married woman and I do not cheat on Idikoko. What you saw was just a movie and I was only being professional but it does not mean I want him to have sex with him,” Linda Abbey added.

News-one carried a story last week that after Linda Abbey and Agya Koo who were paired as secret lovers in a new movie had fallen head over heels in love with the actor.

I don’t know who your sources were but I will say they lied to you and that is why I want to take you guys on. It takes time to build a reputation and somebody just gets up to dent it like that.” “They say in every rumour, there is some iota of truth in it but this is so fake and annoying. Do you really believe I will be chasing Agya Koo and he will be chasing me as well? I have a good working relationship with Agya Koo and that is all. I know he is a responsible man with a wife, so why would we do that? You guys must be careful…really hurt my feelings but my husband has been cooling me down. Idikoko is the only man I decided to be with and that is final,” she explained.

Kareen Explains Her Fake Boobs

Kareen Igho, co-winner of the Big Brother Africa Amplified pan-African contest, has explained why she has artificial breasts.
“People are quick to judge you. People just think I got the boobs just because I wanted to. But I’m sitting here and still wishing I had my real boobs.
I miss having my real boobs. I got these implants at a very young age.
There was a reason for it. I had lumps. I had to take the lumps out. The doctor told me the lumps might come back again.
I had to ask him what we should do. I asked him if the lumps would come back if I put silicone.
