THINGS MEN HATE ABOUT WOMEN

Click for Full Image Size
* Men hate it when women spend all day looking at the mirror and still not look any different.

* Men hate it when women don't recognize that in a conversation, men are solution-oriented, rather than conversation-oriented like we ladies. Don't get irritated because he doesn't want a three-hour talk when he can see a quick solution. They do not always share their feelings the way we women expect.

* Men hate it when women compare them to another man.

* Men hate it when we wear those incredible high heels that we can't even walk with; it pisses them off so much.

* Men hate it when a woman feels she is so independent and can do everything all alone. While independence is a quality men admire in a woman, taking it too far can cause more harm than good. Men are needed sometimes to feel that they are a real part of your life.

* Men hate the overly independent women because they accept no compliments, get so proud, stop listening and may become so arrogant.

Yes, men do not like it when a woman feels she can be so independent; that she doesn't even need anything from her man but at the same time, they hate it when a woman becomes very clingy and needy. She has to wait for him to give her money for everything including a tooth pick.

* All men hate this, they hate it when women dress for over an hour. You began to dress up before he even took his bath but he ended up finishing before you and while you are still trying to make your head tie look perfect, fix your eye liner properly or “pancake” your face evenly, he is already waiting for you outside. All men hate this but most women can't help it. He doesn't have time to wait and he hates it when you help him waste it.

* Men hate it when a woman tries to change him, you have to accept them for who they are, you cannot magically change them because you will just be disappointed at the end. The only reason they are going to change is if they want to change or circumstance forced them to.

* Men hate it when ladies start to shed tears when there is a slight argument and she realizes she is losing so she starts shedding tears to get his sympathy.

* Men don't like when woman doesn't allow him spend time out with his friends; they need some space to hang out with the men too.

* Except there are two TVs in the house, men hate it when woman only wants to watch soaps and reality T.V shows, like most women love to do. They prefer to watch sports, news and documentaries and hate it if anything gets in their way.

* Men hate it when women get paranoid about the way she looks, he hates it when you tell him your make-up isn't nice, so you have to start all over again or when you ask if your breast or buttocks are big. If he doesn't like you the way you are, he won't be with you in the first place.

All men hate it when women nag constantly. It pisses them off and makes them far from you if given the opportunity.

* Men hate it when women withhold sex and affection in order to get what she wants. Sex is supposed to be a loving expression between two lovers. But not supposed to be a tool to manipulate your man. Men don't want to feel as if they have to pay for sex

DiCaprio loves a Lively mind

Images from the content : Blake Lively : Biography

BLAKE Lively must allow Leonardo DiCaprio total reign over the remote control.
She probably doesn't mind him staying up to watch Movies4Men when she goes to bed.
She is shacked up with the ladies' man at his Malibu home and the pair have barely set foot off the property for a couple of weeks. Their local Domino's must be rolling in it.
A source said: "Leo and Blake are completely loved up. He really likes the fact that she has a mind of her own. Blake is a huge star in her own right and is quite happy to bat him down if she isn't impressed."
Hopefully, that doesn't mean he has to watch re-runs of Gossip Girl.

"I've Stopped Using Marijuana - 2 Face Idibia

Innocent Ujah Idibia popularly known as 2face is arguably one of the best musicians to come out of Africa.

In a recent interview, he opens up like never before.

Excerpts from the interview;

When it comes to drugs, I can say I drink Panadol sometimes when I have headache. Or I can take Vitamin C.

Marijuana? Yes, I have tried it before. I tried it and I felt ire.

I don’t want to even start encouraging anybody or talking about that. But I am just being truthful. I have done it before.

Cocaine, heroin? I have never taken tried those ones.Never, ever, ever.

I have never taken marijuana to go onstage. It was just for relaxation purpose. But like I said, I don’t even want to go there.

So, let’s leave that. I just knew marijuana wasn’t for me. So I stopped. Because it makes me feel I am in another world.

I stopped using it a couple of years ago. I wouldn’t say it was difficult stopping it. It wasn’t too difficult.

It was just craziness that introduced me to marijuana. You know how youthful energy used to push one into things like that. In those days; I listened to songs like Rolling down the Street Smoking.

All those songs can influence, if you want to be influenced. It is not for me to advise musicians not to write or sing about drugs.

One thing about art is that you cannot hide reality from it. You cannot hide the truth from it. It is just like movies as well. You are depicting reality the way you see it from your perspective.

So if you say they should not show guns in movies, they should not show the bad guys, you are distorting reality. You must present things the way they are. It’s the same thing with music.

Sometimes you want to paint a picture of reality. You can’t run away from that. So you say some of these things. It’s basically left for kids to hear it, for them to feel it and then resist it and they get stronger.

Because, sometimes the kid you are hiding something from, the day he would discover that thing, it would be worse than the one who has seeing it since.

The thing is just to bring up your kids the right way. Not letting them fear, but let them see the truth, the reality and make their choices by themselves.

Christina Aguilera thinks Lady Gaga has copied her & stolen her fanbase

fp_7598246_api_aguilera_christina_03_10
CHRISTINA AGUILERA

Do you remember how Christina Aguilera is a drunken, delusional, lie-filled monster? She is. She also has some kind of sand in her biscuit about Lady Gaga. Over the years, Christina has gone on the record in interviews mocking and belittling Gaga (“I don’t know if it is a man or a woman”) and then turning around and copying Gaga’s current M.O. In Christina’s recent W Magazine, the writer summed it up well:
While Aguilera once owned the little-girl-with-the-big-voice pop-star niche, with Bionic, she willfully entered the land of Lady Gaga. In the press, she pretended not to care or notice. “Oh, the newcomer?” Aguilera told reporters when asked about Gaga. “This person was just brought to my attention not too long ago. I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman.” Despite her feeble claims to confusion over Gaga’s gender and her uncharitable reluctance to give her credit, the video for “Not Myself Tonight,” Bionic’s first single, had eerily similar tableaux to Gaga’s smash video “Bad Romance.” Image for S&M image, they matched up. Old fans of Aguilera’s weren’t intrigued by her revamped identity, and new fans didn’t materialize. As the album sputtered, her 20-city summer tour didn’t sell and was canceled, at a cost of millions. There were rumors that her record company wanted to drop her. Things were not good.
CB reported that Christina even used her position on The Voice to slam Gaga, allegedly telling conestants that she (Christina) was bigger than Gaga, more influential, etc. So this new story - also from the Enquirer - is nothing new, and I believe it entirely:
Christina Aguilera blames Gaga for steal both her style and her fans, sources say, and Christina is determined to outshine her. Now that she’s wrapped the first season of The Voice, “she now plans to write and record two albums’ worth of material that she can promote when the show returns in early 2012,” a source divulged. “She’s determined to make them better than Gaga’s albums.”
“Christina loves being on top, and in her mind, it’s Gaga’s fault that she’s no longer there,” explained an insider. “She feels that Gaga has stolen her young fan base and has also outdone Christina with her outrageous outfits and stage shows. Christina plans to show Gaga up by creating two new albums that will put her back on top of the charts.”
[From The Enquirer, print edition]
I could see how Christina would fall into that trap. In her defense, she’s probably too drunk to see the trap. The trap is that Christina is trying to out-do the Lady Gaga of today, and by the time Christina’s album comes out next year, Gaga will be doing something else and everyone will listen to Christina’s album and say, “Hey, that looks and sounds like Gaga… from a year ago.” As for Gaga “stealing” Christina’s fan base… idiotic. If Christina wasn’t such a liquor-soaked, unoriginal catastrophe, there would be plenty of room for both she and Gaga (who is a coked-up, unoriginal catastrophe). Christina just has a “thing” about copying whoever is popular at the moment - first it was Britney, and now it’s Gaga. It’s a shame because Christina does have a powerful voice. She just needs some good songwriters, and she needs to stop with the Gaga crap. Most of us don’t even like the Gaga crap anymore, anyway

I’m Romantic, Exactly The Way I Act In Movies -Actress

Nse Ikpe Etim is one of the new faces in the movie industry. The sky seems to be the limit with the way she handles her roles in movies. This, she has achieved within a short while in the industry. In this interview with Adunola Fasuyi she speaks on several issues.

Is it true that your journey into Nollywood was not planned or deliberate?

It is true that my foray into the industry was not planned or deliberate. I like to say it just happened. I was handed the ‘Reloaded’ script by Emem Isong and that has been the journey thus far. I did not see myself as an actress, even when she said I had no confidence, I chose not to prove anyone wrong, well, until now. I still get scared.

You are regarded as one of the best actresses in Nollywood right now, how does that make you feel?

That is a lot of honour to be bestowed on a relatively new comer. I am honoured to be put on the same pedestal as the amazing actors and actresses that Nollywood has produced.

It has been said that you view acting as a part time thing and that is why you are hardly seen around actors and actresses or events relating to the industry?

That’s not a fair thing to say. I live in Abuja and it is quite tough to attend all the functions here in Lagos. I do try to attend the ones that take place whenever I am in town. And for the record, it is not part time for me.

Aside acting in a couple of movies and the fact that you are from Akwa Ibom, what do you think is another interesting detail about you?

I am a Nigerian. I think that sounds a lot better than claiming a state. I have been told that I have a sense of humour, I love to cook, write in my spare time, read a lot and lay in my couch. That’s it really.

Why do you think a lot of people regard you as a very sexy actress, despite having the likes of Omotola, Genevieve, Omoni Oboli and others around?

Sexy? That’s not what I see myself as. I am a regular woman. Though, not the girl next door. I honestly don’t think of myself in that light. But if people see me so, well they know what they saw before concluding.

Your innocent and girlish look is said to be one of your strong points, do you share the belief?

That means you have not looked straight into my eyes. Is that not where they say innocence lies? I don’t share in the belief, but I dare say that I do not see what people see.

As somebody who has been around for only a few years and your stock is so high in the industry, what or who would you say is the motivating factor, aside God?

I did not see that coming. Well, since I always give glory to God I will say that it has been the grace of God and the fact that I have been able to marry professionalism with my God-given talent. Discipline is key and also, the talents I have been opportuned to work with have brought a lot to the table for my rise and I am truly thankful for it.

It has been observed that you feel most comfortable working with ‘your’ people, like Desmond Elliot, Emem Isong, Ini Edo, what would you say to that?

Then I dare say you have not seen all the other ones I have done. I have worked with other notable producers. Some are still in the can, so in good time you will see that I have worked with other people apart from my “people” as you put it.

Why do you think you are tailor-made for the romantic parts?

I do not think I am tailor-made for any part in particular, it’s just that I have been given romantic parts to play, but I have played other characters. I am a prolific actress and can act any script or role given to me. I am not a stereotype kind of actress. Basically, I think producers give you what they deem fit for your character.

Are you as romantic in real life as you are portrayed in the movies, especially since that is what has got everybody talking about you and such movies?

I can be romantic. I believe in happy stories but this does not mean that I live in a surreal world. I also think that the reason people talk is because the character might have been portrayed the way the director wanted it interpreted.

If acting is not really what you would have liked to do as insinuated, what career then tickles your fancy enough that you could have gone into?

After finding succour in acting, I think I am happy where I am. I love the fact that I cook, which is a passion I cannot give up for anything.

Are you still looking forward to coming back to Lagos having lived in Abuja for a long time?

I am looking forward to moving. I will be closer to my mother and won’t be accused of not attending functions like you have.

How are you looking forward to featuring in Kunle Afolayan’s movie that would be coming up soon? Are you kind of scared, excited or anxious of what to come?

As a nervous actress, I am scared but as an actress who recognises excellence, I am excited. I am just thankful for all the opportunities.

Since you like cooking that much, have you ever thought about making it professional?

By professional do you mean if I earn from my hobby? Yes I do and do hope to get it way bigger than it is.

When you were much younger, what were the dreams of what you wanted to be?

I honestly don’t know what I wanted to become. I admired actresses (Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida) because it was what I saw on TV, but for me, growing up was paramount and so having to follow my dad’s dream of being a doctor was far-fetched.

Did you follow those dreams through your school days?

I think by the time I was eligible to write JAMB, I knew I wanted to study Theater Arts, which is why I deliberately chucked the first form in front of the post office, walked into CBN and lied to my father’s friend that mum could not buy a form for me. Having just lost my father, I whipped up sentiments, bought a new form and filled University of Calabar , Theatre Arts. Well, look where it got me?

Were you one of the few that had a swell childhood? Or were you too much of a princess that you were not allowed to play with other children?

I had a fun filled childhood, even when friends are chosen for you; you must make the best out of it. Looking back, I could not have asked for a different or better childhood.

Did you ever play pranks on mates at that time?

Playing pranks was too much fun. And I still have not stopped, so Iguessed I carried with me something from way back.

If I Were Yvonne Nelson...

We have read and heard a lot from various industry stakeholders on the controversial ban which was imposed on Actress Yvonne Nelson nearly a year ago. As at now, the state of this ban (whether it is still in force or not) cannot be clearly ascertained.

Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), the industry machinery behind the ban has strongly insisted that the ban is still in force whiles Abdul Salam-the person Yvonne Nelson was said to have grossly subjected to contempt is saying he has forgiven her. Though Salam’s recent statements to a greater extent suggest that the ban has been lifted, we are still kept in the dark by FIPAG.

The latest to add his voice to the Yvonne Nelson saga is Fred Nuamah, the founder and CEO of Ghollywood Production-the organisers of the prestigious Ghana Movie Awards.

I have decided to give this the necessary audience because Fred Nuamah in his submission pointed out some serious flaws in the way and manner the whole Yvonne Nelson incident was handled.

According to Fred Nuamah, his disappointment does not only rest on the fact that Yvonne Nelson has decided to apologise at this last hour of serving her undeserved and illegitimate punishment but also the fact that Yvonne Nelson is seriously doing far more better for herself than the time she was fully working as an actress and would probably let all these go down the drain in her desperation to come back to an industry which unfairly treated her.

Speaking to GhanaCelebrities.Com, Fred Nuamah repeated mentioned that, the way Yvonne Nelson has been treatment is absolutely disgusting. “For a young talented girl to be fairly treated like this is not only degrading but also inhuman. If a child wrongs the father, she is under an obligation to apologise and the father is also under a corresponding duty to accept this apology instantly and forgive the child” he said.

Fred continued “Yvonne Nelson did what is expected from a good child. She apologised to Abdul Salam at the infant stage of the whole controversy, Yvonne further mobilised her industry friends including Majid Michel and her manager to help apologise to Salam which the latter refused to accept. Is it therefore not Ironic that an apology has been accepted and the girl is said to have been forgiven at this late hour? ”

Fred Nuamah considers it disheartening that those in charge of the ban requested Yvonne Nelson to go and publicly apologise for a crime which she allegedly committed in what can be termed as a private place. “If she disrespecting Abdul Salam on a movie set was the core reason of the whole confusion, why ask her to go and apologise via TV, radio or any other form of media?”

What baffles the mind of the Founder of Ghana Movie Awards even more is the rationale behind Yvonne Nelson’s late hour apology and its acceptance after enduring about 9 months of substantial loss of income, insults and disrespect.

“If she has been able to swallow 9 months of disrespect and dirty industry politics which nearly killed her career, talent and dignity, why can’t she bear 3 months…? Remember, Yvonne is one of the top 3 Actresses in the country. This achievement is enough to make anyone proud so to throw all that away in desperation when you have suffered for 9 months with only 3 months to go is questionable”.

During Fred’s chit chat with GhanaCelebrities.Com, he also acknowledged and commended Yvonne Nelson for how well she has been able to do for herself during this bad time.

“Yvonne has done so much for herself in the last 9 months that she probably had not been able to do for all the years she worked as an actress. The girl has successfully launched her Glaucoma foundation which is doing great in helping our society. She has also bought a new top of the range car and has launched her own weave/wig collection” he added.

This may come as a bit unrealistic but it makes a lot of sense and it is the best advice I have heard anyone give to Yvonne Nelson since her incident with Abdul Salam and subsequently FIPAG.

Fred thinks “Yvonne Nelson should have consider her own production, a TV show or something she can do without having her talent being oppressed for any little misconduct. She should not be desperate to be in the movie industry when she is already doing a lot for herself. Her desperation to come back should not make her accept future wrong treatments that may come her way without saying anything as a result of fear of being banned. We have passed the culture of silence, fear and oppression”

As radical as this may sound, Fred says the best thing for Yvonne Nelson to do is go through the 3 months of the ban and then after that, ban herself. “If I were Yvonne, what I would have done is serve the 12 months of my ban and then after than ban myself. I mean, not work for any of those people” he said.

What do you guys think about this?

My Side Comment: Can someone (Actor or Actress) in Ghana test the legitimacy of the FIPAG’s operation and the way and manner they are sidelining people. In law, you cannot just form an association and use that association to cause members or non members’ loss of income by sidelining them as when and how you think you want to.

Everyone association/organization is subjected to the bigger law of the land (national laws) even though it may have it own laws. When these two laws clash, the national law takes precedent. As a Ghanaian, everyone of the right age has the constitutional right to work and earn a decent income.

I therefore think any activity by a person or organization such as FIPAG which unreasonable infringes on this fundamental right of a person to work or earn an income can be questioned in the law court. The national law and the courts are there to check MAFIA associations like FIPAG.

Someone should just take them on and challenge their way of operations. As long as their activates take away a person’s constitutional right, It must be done in conformity with the law and we can only know if their unreasonable banning/side-lining is lawfully or not by testing their grounds of banning, the length of punishment and others in the law court.
