here is a saying that a child is at liberty to play with the breasts of his mother but not the ‘balls’ of his father and this may explain why Ghana’s Minister for Health, Alban Bagbin, has called on men to stop sucking the breasts of their wives but rather leave the fresh succulent boobs for their babies.
The newly-appointed Health Minister, a married man, said the breasts of women, especially nursing mothers, should be left entirely for the enjoyment of babies and not men or husbands.
Speaking on Monday during a visit to the Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, Mr. Bagbin warned nursing mothers not to allow their husbands to feed on their breasts to the detriment of their newly-born babies.
He insisted that “the breast is for the infants and not men” and advised nursing mothers to try as much as possible to feed their babies with breast milk and nothing else, at least during the first six months after birth to make the children grow healthy.
Many Ghanaian men consider the fondling and sucking of breasts as an integral ingredient in love making and therefore do not spare the breasts and nipples at all during sexual intercourse.
There have been reports of men who are so much addicted to breasts caressing and nipples sucking that they do not spare their wives even during lactation period.
