Prince David Osei Unveils Clothing Line

Prince David Osei on Hollywood Red Carpet
Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei will soon be venturing into something new with the outdooring of his P.D.O clothing line before the end of year.
The clothing line, code named ‘Snipperdee Wear’, is expected to move his acting career to a higher level.
Considering how David enjoys adorning himself with designer suits and African outfits, the line is expected to be interesting.
The clothing line is expected to be launched on December 16 at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
David was last in the news for saying he wanted to act with actress Angelina Jolie and a kissing scene with Jay Z’s wife, Beyonce Knowles.
The fine Ghanaian actor returned from the USA a couple of months ago where he went for the premiere of ‘The Dead’.
The Hollywood standard West African-set Zombie feature film was written and directed by Howard J. Ford and Jon Ford.
It was premiered in Los Angeles at the AMC City Walk Stadium 19 on October 14, ahead of a slated theatrical rollout in over 20 cities across US.
The film subsequently premiered in Ghana.
Currently, there are discussions in Ghana on why the film was not nominated for the prestigious Ghana Movie Awards.

Stephanie Okereke On Her Alleged Fight With Genevieve

The news of a bitter war brewing between two top Nollywood heavyweights, Stephanie Okereke and Genevieve Nnaji reported by
nigeriafilms.Com, which spread like harmattan fire has been generating reactions by both fans of Stephanie and Genny, as Genevieve is fondly called by her fans and friends.

In the said story, we had exclusively gathered and reported that a rift was going on between Stephanie and Genny, both just recently honoured by President Goodluck Jonathan with National awards of MFR, over cornering from the Presidency of the former by the latter.

But in a swift reaction to the news publication, Stephanie queried nigeriafilms.com for not confirming the alleged rift from her before going public.

“I don’t have any problem with Genevieve at all. I am not aware of any fight between the two of us. It is unfair when you people(NFC) present us like that, it is horrible. What is the fight between us about? Do you want to turn us into actresses that fight in the industry?” the sultry actress queried.

She further said, “what bothered me in the story was the presentation. Genevieve and I don’t have any problem. I have never had any problem with anybody in the industry and i don't want to.

“Before you know it, this thing would be blown out of proportion. We are very good friends, and there is no quarrel between us over
anything. The way you people(NFC) reported that we were fighting over Presidency access made me laugh.” It is unfair, you make it feel as if
the female actress are bad. It is horrible, stop bringing women in the industry down. Myself and Genny were at the party last night(Thursday night) where Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) celebrated us(maybe for the National honours bestowed on them by the President).

“I am just surprised at where this story is coming from. I am a very straight person. If it were to be any good work that we have done, you
guys(NFC) won’t talk about it,” Stephanie said.

XCLUSIV FOTOS: Celebs Afflicted With Blackberry Fever!

The Blackberry (BB) mobile craze is spreading like wild fire all over the world and Ghana seems not left out of the latest fad in town.

Though the BBM instant messaging phone is available for anybody who can afford the money and the time, celebrities all over the world have even made it spread more faster because they are often seen in the public eye.

Being a celebrity comes with a lot of perks: entrance into the swankiest clubs and parties, an attentive entourage, adoring fans and an unusual busy schedule; yet, they find time to twit, chat on Facebook and communicate via BBM.

In Ghana, several celebrities are spotted on countless occasions concentrating on their Blackberry phones at public events. Celebrities communicate with fellow celebrities, they broadcast information and advertise certain activities they want the public to know about and sometimes interact with their fans.

In Nigeria, Blackberry is gradually becoming a part of almost every celebrity. When Peacefmonline.com visited Nigeria, we observe that almost every celebrity in Nigeria uses a BB phone.

The story is not different in America as several Hollywood stars including Lady Gaga, Victoria Beckham, Lindsay Lohan, Rihanna, Jenifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Kelly Rowland, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and even President Barrack Obama have been spotted busily chatting on Blackberry phones.

Peacefmonline.com has gathered exclusive pictures of various celebrities in Ghana and elsewhere who have been affected by the BB phone fever.

Check out the exclusive pictures below:

Uh No…. Another Pic of Tiffany leaks! THE RISE TO NAKEDNESS OF TIFANNY

So refreshing to see someone is up to do what Mzbelnever thought of doing; a leak of nude pictures from her outfit. I would say it is a step forward for our music industry. The fake London girl lady is no way near toLady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Confidence nor Rihannasave they are all human.
The fame of nudeness as per my archives has really caused not a single downfall of any performer in the music industry. It either boost up your sale or leaves you where you are. Recount the years Lady Gaga (by far the most popular music performer now), Nicki Minaj, and Rihanna exposed their boobs and the awards that came along with it. Also recount how Ghana was nicely spotted on the globe when Confidence Haugen gave an overview of herself on BBA. Wasn’t it overwhelming for both her personality and club? Who dares talk against her even in the face of all of it. It is really about how you carry yourself after such incidence.
I would not say the Azonto lady made up that show as the case now rest in the hands of the police who has announced that the guys responsible are in their custody. Its being a great push up for our industry, at least we get to see most music lovers love to protect our celebrities and do not care about the boobs they show off.
All I can make out is that my best female rapper that she is now in the rise to nudeness with Grammy winners, all she has to do is live up to the standards of her co-singers.To Tiffanny,I say more grease to your elbow because you are not the only one there and I love the way you have carried yourself about so far.

Nigeria's Pete Edochie Dead?

Contrary to rumours last week that popular Nollywood actor and veteran broadcaster Pete Edochie had died, the actor is hale and hearty, Nigeria’s Weekend Groove (WG) reported.

Edochie was rumoured to have passed away during the week, a situation which threw the movie industry into a momentary shock, as it is yet to recover from the one it sustained recently due to the death of veteran actor Sam Loco-Efe.

Actor Ofiafuluagu Mbaka, chairman, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Enugu State chapter, who dismissed the rumour when contacted on telephone by WG, said the veteran actor was hale and hearty.

“I just spoke with him on telephone now. If he is dead, I should have been contacted before now. He’s alive and not dead. He travelled to the north to promote his new movie. I also spoke with his personal assistant who confirmed to me that a lot of people have called him on telephone to make inquires in respect of the rumour. Segun Arinze called me earlier and I told him that the man is still alive,” Mbaka cleared the air.

A devout Catholic, Edochie is considered one of Africa’s most talented actors, having starred in thousands of movies.

Although a seasoned administrator and broadcaster, he came into prominence in the 1980s when he played the lead role of Okonkwo in an NTA adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s all time bestselling novel, ‘Things Fall Apart.’ He has two sons who inherited his acting skills; Linc and Yul Edochie.

D-Black Supports Underprivileged Kids

Rapper D-Black, who recently returned from the United States and South Africa, after he was nominated for the BET Awards and Channel O Awards respectively, is planning a campaign to support the underprivileged in society during the festive season.
‘As we celebrate Christmas this festive season, we should remember that there are people out there in Ghana suffering, especially children. The little we can afford to spare to help a needy child in our society could go a long way to help a child have a better and brighter future. Everyone in life needs a helping hand one way or the other, so we shouldn’t hesitate to if we can,” D-Black said.
“This past year I’ve been blessed by God greatly in many ways, from my music career down to keeping my family safe and I am tremendously grateful. This is my own small way of showing appreciation, my widow’s mite. So on Boxing Day, December 26 at 1 pm, join me and the entire Black Avenue Muzik team donate to all the kids at the children’s ward at the Ridge Hospital and at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital as well as hundreds of children at selected orphanages in Accra towards their education, growth and have them also have them experience what it means to have a merry Christmas.”
This donation is ahead of D-Black’s highly-anticipated finale of his nationwide tour ‘The Yes Boss Tour’ in Accra on December 30.
Mawuli Akpabi, artiste manger at Black Avenue Muzik, entreated all D-Black fans and corporate bodies to be part of his initiative.
“Nothing is too small to give these children for they are our future leaders. It doesn’t have to be one orphanage or children’s ward. We can spend the entire day going round just giving from our hearts,” D-Black added.
D-Black also appealed to other musicians and entertainment industry personalities to do their best to support the less fortunate children in society.
He also commended Ayigbe Edem and Miss Malaika 2009, Gezelle Addai, for their donations made to the less fortunate over the past few years.
“A giving hand is better than a praying lip; let’s help build a better and brighter future for Ghana.”

Stella Damasus Denies Cocaine Saga

Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has debunked rumours flying around that NDLEA arrested and humiliated her at the airport recently.
Nollywood’s celebsregion.com quoted the actress as saying, “I have been in Cameroon with my team since the end of October working on a movie project, so what is this I’m reading about myself and NDLEA.
So I wonder where Prince Otunba Ayodeji Adesogan got his information from. I just hope you all don’t believe all the lies people cook up.
I have never tweeted that I regret being a movie star, neither was I rough handled by NDLEA at the airport for anything.”
Nollywood reports last week said the actress was thoroughly drilled by men of the anti-drug agency over what was suspected to be an attempt by Damasus to smuggle drugs suspected to be cocaine to Dubai.
The embarrassing incident allegedly occurred last week Thursday, November 10, 2011.
According to onlinenigeria.com sources, the actress was taken into the custody of the NDLEA where she was searched thoroughly in a very rigorous pattern.
A series of scans was carried out on her before she was freed by the men of the agency.
Stella Damasus was delayed by the Drug Law Enforcers to the extent that she even missed her flight to Dubai and had to travel on another flight after she had been released.
The actress later twitted: “Today I regret being a Nollywood Star” as friends and fans of the actress questioned her on what could have necessitated the comment.
Efforts by the website to reach the actress to comment on the issue proved futile as at press time she was said to be enjoying her holiday in Dubai.
But the actress has denied the entire story.

Blows Over Ghanaian Actress

NEWS-ONE has gathered that the shoot of a new movie titled ‘Asylum Down’ did not end on a quiet note following reports that the lead cast of the movie tried re-enacting the movie’s script in real life.
Sources told this paper that Nigerian actor Scott Robert, one of the lead actors, was in a fight with a rising Ghanaian actor over lead actress Magdalene Mensah, while he was in Ghana for the shoot.
Scott and the Ghanaian actor, whose name was given as David Hans, are both in love with Magdalene.
Both guys are very good friends who are madly in love with Magdalene to the extent that each of them tried to destroy the other to the actress.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t succeed with their plans as the only option to win Magdalene was to physically assault each other.
NEWS-ONE’s source said “hell broke loose” at the Afrikiko Restaurant a couple of months ago when the two men engaged in a real fight in front of their friends and patrons at the pub over the actress.
They broke bottles and were about to kill themselves. Producer Sorag, son of veteran producer Hammond Mensah of HM Films, and his friends managed to separate the two.
“Sorag was made to pay for damages they caused at Afrikiko. It was really crazy. The lady loves the Nigerian guy. You know some of these our Ghanaian ladies and Nigerian guys. But David was the one who made the move first and he has been talking to Scott about Magdalene. But Scott goes behind him to tell Magdalene other things,” the source added.
NEWS-ONE’s attempts to contact Scott, Magdalene and David proved futile.
Producer Sorag won’t pick his calls to react. When this paper finally got through to him on Sunday morning, he said he was driving around Mallam Junction and would call back after reaching his office, but he did not.
The new movie features a number of rising actors from Ghana’s movie industry, with John Dumelo as one of the lead men.

Buk Bak Poisoned

It is not clear how poison found its way into the food of Prince Bright aka Bling Sparkles, a member of Ghana’s exciting musical duo Buk Bak.
Reports reaching NEWS-ONE suggest that Bright was recently admitted at a private hospital in Accra where he spent a little over a week after doctors said he had consumed a large amount of poisoned food.
“It was very serious and if not for God, the news would have been something else. He started to complain of stomach upset soon after eating the food and he just went off a few minutes later even before we could grab some medicine from a pharmacy nearby.
“So we rushed him to the hospital and it was there that the doctors confirmed that there was poison in his food. It was serious because they said the quantity was large enough to have caused bad news,” a source hinted NEWS-ONE and said he was with Buk Bak and some friends when the incident occurred.
Ronnie Coches, the other member of Buk Bak, also confirmed to NEWS-ONE in a telephone interview that Bright was hospitalized for food poison, adding that the episode was “alarming and worrying”.
It is not clear what is happening within the entertainment industry in Ghana but the players have to be more careful because news of poison finding its way into the food of celebrities is becoming rampant.
Award-winning actor Majid Michel was earlier reported to have found a tin of milk he was to have used for breakfast, poisoned. The incident occurred while Majid was on a movie location with other movie makers.
Buk Bak is on record as the first hiplife group in Ghana to be successful with Ga lyrics and also top music charts with songs in Twi, English and Pidgin.
They were recently caught on camera in a canoe along the Chorkor beach in Accra, singing their new song, ‘Fisherman’s Anthem: You Saw Me’ and they explained their next mega concert: “On December 17 this year, we shall stage the Buk Bak Comeback Concert and that is what we are working on for now. It would be Buk Bak and friends and we can assure you that the show would be great. It does not mean we would stay away from shows. We would continue to honor invitations and respond to contracts.”

Armed Robbers Attack Actor

Actor Eddie Watson was on Tuesday attacked by armed robbers who took everything in his house and beat the hell out of him.
It is not confirmed how many they were but the robbers allegedly broke into the actor’s East Legon home and emptied it. They made away with belongings worth thousands of Ghana cedis.
“With God being so good, our actor is safe and sound, just that he had a little headache due to an object that was used to hit his head,” Eddie’s aides broadcasted on blackberry on Wednesday morning.
His attack follows earlier reports that actress Luckie Lawson was robbed. Some elements believed to be people around her broke into her Spintex home and made away with belongings worth huge sums of dollars. Not long ago, veteran actress Doris Sackitey also chased robbers out of her home.
Watson is a Liberian born Ghanaian actor who is known for his role with top actress Yvonne Nelson in Abdul Salam’s ‘4play Reloaded.’
Eddie joined Ghana’s movie industry less than three years ago. He first starred in Bandex Productions’ ‘Million’ in which he played the role of Kofi Adjorlolo’s bodyguard. He has also starred in movies like ‘Masters of The Game’and ‘Turn Me On’. Subsequently, he got scripts for yet-to-be-released ‘Somewhere In Africa,’ and ‘A Reason To Kill’.

Kwaku T Faces Vodafone

Ghana’s Hip-Pop sensation Kwaku T has found himself alone as he faces telecommunication giant Vodafone Ghana, in a litigation which is by far the biggest test yet for Ghana’s Copyright laws.
He is not giving up on becoming the first musician in Ghana to take on a corporate entity in the law courts, and win, for the violation of his intellectual property rights.
Earlier reports suggested that he and his partner in the suit, D-Black, had been paid off by Vodafone Ghana to withdraw the case from court but Kwaku T has denied this.
On Tuesday during their court session, counsel for D-Black said his client had decided to pull out of the case, leaving Kwaku T to continue the battle alone.
It remains unclear, however, whether D-Black’s pull-out was indeed influenced by a pay-off.
The former Big Brother Africa contestant remains optimistic despite the latest development.
“The case has taken various twists and turns but we’re on the winning side, if things are handled properly from here on. They’re just stretching the settlement and being disrespectful at the moment. It’s a joint civil suit and just last week they bought off my co-plaintiff D-Black,” he claimed.
D-Black allegedly pulled out because he felt his career would be threatened if he continued with the case. His lawyer told an Accra Commercial Court Judge that the case would go on without D-Black since he was not interested in the case.
The two originally proceeded to court after Vodafone Ghana did not respond to letters from their counsel which requested of the telecom company to stop using the advert created with their song ‘Move’, as their consent had not been sought.
Vodafone Ghana’s defence was that it consulted COSGA before using the song but Kwaku T, who is not a member of COSGA, insisted that COSGA could not have permitted the use of the song on their behalf. COSGA has refused to testify in the case.
“It’s a landmark case completely alien to Ghana’s judicial system. We would be setting a precedent and a moral one at that by winning. If we win, the corporate multinational that wants to take advantage of the blood, sweat and toil of the artiste in Ghana will think twice,” Kwaku T said.

Doctor Found Guilty of Michael Jackson's Death

MICHAEL Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray was hauled off to jail in handcuffs last night as he was found guilty of killing the star.

Grim-faced Murray, 58, sat unblinking as the jury of seven men and five women returned a unanimous verdict on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

They decided after nine hours of deliberations and a six-week trial that he killed Jacko, 50, with a massive dose of hospital anaesthetic propofol. The Jackson family were jubilant. Inside the Los Angeles courtroom the star's sister La Toya let out a yelp of "Yes!" as the verdict was read at 9.17pm.

Outside, hundreds of banner-waving Jacko fans cheered and whooped in delight.

Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor refused bail and remanded Murray in custody for sentencing in three weeks. He faces up to four years. The judge told him: "The public should be protected. This is a crime that ended in the death of a human being." The killer doctor, in smart grey pinstripe suit, was immediately surrounded by three uniformed officers who pulled his arms behind his back and cuffed him.

His lawyer Ed Chernoff looked tearful as the verdict sunk in.
Jermaine said: "Justice was served. Michael is with us."

La Toya, 55, said she was "overjoyed", and added: "Thank you America. Thank all the fans. Thank you the prosecuting team. Michael loves everybody and we love him. He was in that courtroom and that's why victory was served."

It was believed Jacko's children Prince, 14, Paris, 13, and Blanket, nine, were told not to watch the verdict on TV at home so their grandmother could break the news to them in person later.

The court had heard how Murray administered the dangerous sedative in the singer's bedroom on June 25, 2009, before abandoning him. The doctor claimed Jacko injected the drug himself.

As Murray was led out of the court he looked at his mother, who whispered: "I love you." The 58-year-old physician — convicted last night of involuntary manslaughter — was so distracted by his tangled love life that he disgracefully neglected his duty of care to his world-famous patient.

On the morning of the tragedy, Murray gave 50-year-old Jacko a 100ml dose of propofol.

That amount is only used in hospital to knock out patients before major surgery — and was FOUR TIMES the dose that Murray admitted administering. The lusting medic then left the singer alone to speak to THREE lovers.

Jurors at Murray's Los Angeles trial were told he spent 45 minutes on the phone to cocktail waitress Sade Anding, 25, before he realised Jacko was in trouble and raised the alarm.

He had texted Spearmint Rhino stripper Michelle Bella earlier that morning — and took a call from another mistress, Bridgette Morgan, at around the same time. The playboy physician was living with Nicole Alvarez, 29, mother of his young son, at the time.

Murray made three other calls as the lethal dose coursed through Jackson's body. He even messaged insurers to insist the star's health was fine. Prosecutor David Walgren told the court: "He left this vulnerable man, abandoned him, to fend for himself.

"It violates not only standards of care, but decency from one human being to another."

Murray, who had been treating Jackson for six weeks, was still on the phone to Sade when he found the singer slumped on his bed at his Holmby Hills home at 11.56am on June 25, 2009.

As Jacko's children Prince, 14, and Paris, 13, looked on in horror, Murray yelled: "Does anyone know CPR?"

After cardiac resuscitation failed, the doctor rang the star's PA Michael Amir Williams at 12.12pm.

Murray told him: "Get here right away — Mr Jackson had a bad reaction." Astonishingly, Murray waited until 12.20pm — 24 minutes after he first found Jackson's body — before asking security guard Alberto Alvarez to call the 911 emergency number.

Paramedics arrived in six minutes but Jacko was already dead. Murray failed to tell the emergency crew he had given the star propofol. He also insisted he had only left Jackson "a minute".

Jacko was taken to the UCLA medical centre where he was officially declared dead at 2.26pm.

LA Deputy District Attorney Mr Walgren revealed Jacko's body was full of drugs, including relaxant valium and the sedatives lorazepam and midazolam. An autopsy revealed traces of propofol in his heart, liver, stomach and even his EYEBALLS. Murray had ordered an extraordinary 155,000mg of the drug — just over four gallons — between April and June 2009.

The court heard a slurring Jacko on a recording found on Murray's iPhone. It was disturbing evidence of the singer's drug-addled state.

Good pal Kenny Ortega — co-director of Jacko's planned This Is It tour — testified to the star's "rambling and obsessing" manner in the days before he died. Bodyguard Alvarez's tearful evidence also painted a picture of Murray's blind panic in the moments after Jacko's death.

He described how he saw the doctor rip an intravenous tube from Jackson's leg and take a vial filled with a "milky white substance" from the bedroom. Prosecutors said Murray was trying to remove propofol from the scene.

Murray remained silent throughout the six-week trial and refused to give evidence in his defence.

He admitted giving Jacko propofol but claimed the singer caused his own death by taking an overdose. This was despite expert evidence that the drug could not kill if swallowed.

Murray, born on the Caribbean island of Grenada, had a clinic in Houston, Texas, when he made his lucrative move west to treat Jacko.

Mr Walgren summed up the tragedy when he told the jury: "Michael Jackson trusted his life to the skills of Conrad Murray. That misplaced trust cost him his life."
