We Never Split: Buk Bak Bounces Back

For some years now, Ghanaians have continuously speculated that popular hiplife group ‘Buk Bak’ had split, the reason for the group’s absence from the music scene.
But the group has bounced back with vim, swearing that it never split.
The group, made up of Bright Prince Tackey Sparkles, Ronnie Coches and Shoetan, in an interview with NEWS-ONE and a section of Ghana’s entertainment media last Wednesday denied the claims of split.
According to the members, they came to an agreement to do solo projects at a point in their career and that was what generated the speculations that they had split.
However, they acknowledged that as a group, there were times when they had problems and misunderstood each other as a result of miscommunication.
“Now we are mature and we are family. If anything at all, we will call each other and settle it among ourselves. When I arrived, Tinny was the first guy I called to say what’s up even though people think we have issues.”
The group is currently gearing up for a comeback project.
Bright has been living in the USA for over 5 years while Ronnie lives in Ghana and at times USA. Shoetan was the first to travel to Canada but he is back.
Buk Bak, which originally had four members, first attracted attention with their hit song ‘Komi Ke Kena’. Shoetan got into trouble with Adisadel College in Cape Coast because he wore a school uniform in the ‘Komi Ke Kena’ video.
Two original members of the group left for different reasons, and as a duo, Buk Bak continued to be successful with albums like ‘Awensem’, ‘Sika Kokoo’ and ‘Gold Coast’. It also collaborated with groups like K-2 and 4×4 to release more hit tracks. The group was rumored to have split up in 2006, but it maintained that it was simply pursuing separate projects.
Bright’s debut album was highly successful with tracks like ‘Condom’ and ‘What Dem Plan’     .
Bright told NEWS-ONE that he didn’t see their new project as a comeback because he thought “Buk Bak has always been there.”
“There has always been Buk Bak. So I don’t see where the coming back is coming from. We return to see GH, breath the air and enjoy GH. We are meeting now, there is a lot going on. We have projects in all areas not music alone. On a broader perceptive there are other things to look at. Brothers (Ronnie & Shoetan) are still crazy as they used to be, so watch out. But we are enjoying what is on air now,” he added.
He was supposed to be on Sarkodie’s show in the US last Saturday but he came down to make arrangement with the other group members and enjoy Ghana before going back.
They also had some meetings with Reggie Rockstone.
Buk Bak however said they would not drop hints on when its new project would hit the music scene.

XCLUSIV FOTOS: Abeiku Santana Caught 'Bonking' Jackie Appiah In A Car

Ace versatile broadcaster and host of Okay FM’s drive time “Ekwanso Dwodwo”, Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey popularly known as Abeiku Santana has been caught busily bonking award winning actress, Jackie Appiah in the back seat of a Toyota SUV.

Abeiku was caught half naked on screen with his pants dropped low leaving his white underwear whiles the lady who had also opened her legs wide, laid on her back as Abeiku’s firm waist kept see-sawing with his sex partner groaning and edging him on to keep up the good work.

“Wow mmmmm aaoo! Give it to me… I hear you are good, wow.” After several minutes of hot bouts of 'sex', the lady alighted from the car to put on her underwear and it turned out to be screen goddess Jackie Appiah, spotted in a shiny cream straight dress.

Van Vicker Brings Stella Damasus Back To Ghana

Celebrated Ghanaian actor Van Vicker is taking his career to the next level with the shoot of a new movie with working title, ‘Distance’.
The movie, being produced and directed by Van himself under his Sky Orange Production, features some of the best actors from Ghana and Nigeria.

He would be using Kofi Adjorlolo as one of the lead casts, as well as himself. ‘Distance’ will be the third movie from the stables of Sky Orange after ‘Friday Night’ and ‘Raj’. Van said he would be shooting another movie in November and hopefully more next year.

“I want to debunk the whole idea that I don’t work in Ghana,” he told NEWS-ONE a couple of weeks ago at the Golden Tulip hotel. The synopsis of the new movie is yet to be made public but the story, Van emphasized, was very intriguing.

Van has not only become a household name but one of Ghana’s most talked-about male movie stars, whose daring approach to acting helped the country’s movie industry. Even though he started out in the entertainment world on radio and as a television personality for Metropolitan Television (Metro TV), it was not until 2003 that he carved a niche for himself through his appearance in the Ghanaian television series ‘Suncity’.

The series ran for a total of 10 episodes, and soon Van was cast in his first film ‘Divine Love’ as a supporting actor. The movie exposed him more to the industry. Thereafter he has been consistently cast in leading romantic roles.

As Africa’s undisputed romantic leading man, Van has helped turn the Ghanaian movie industry into a fierce competitor in the world of African movies.

So far, he has starred in top movies including ‘BeyoncĂ©’, ‘The President’s Daughter’ (2006) ‘Keeping the Promise’, ‘Mummy’s Daughter’ (2006) ‘The Return of BeyoncĂ©’ (2007) and ‘A Woman’s Honor’.

He has also won a number of awards including, Best Male Actor 2006 – GMA (competitive) Ghana at 50, Best Male Actor 2007 Ohio (honoree) and Screen Nation Film and TV Awards, UK (competitive). He also got nominated for Best Lead Actor and Best Upcoming Actor at the 2008 Africa Movie Academy Awards held in Nigeria.

I’m Okay With Nudity In Movies – Actress

Beautiful American born Nigerian actress, J.J. Bunny has told NEWS-ONE that she has no problem with movies that have explicit scenes if they are categorized.

“I have heard one or two complaints about African movies being a little bit exposed because usually people will watch the movie as a family and people sit with husbands, wives and children and watch together.

“I don’t have any problem with it being exposed. We just have to make sure that we label it right, so that families can pick the right content for their children and the single people who can handle nudity can also pick theirs,” she told NEWS-ONE when the paper caught up with her at the Silverbird Cinema.

J.J Bunny lived all her life the United States of America and has featured in a number of Ghanaian and Nigerian movies. Among them are ‘The Governors Gift,’ featuring Jim Iyke and Tonto Dike, ‘Cage’ starring Desmond Eliot, ‘This is Houston’ featuring Ini Edo, ‘The Bed’, ‘Paparazzi’ with Van Vicker, ‘X-Class’, starring John Dumelo and ‘The other Side of Love’ with Ramsey which is yet to be released.

The sexy looking actress was in Ghana to shoot in a Frank Rajah movie alongside Majid Michel and Yvonne Okoro. Being her first time in Ghana, J.J Bunny was overwhelmed to work with the gurus in the Ghanaian movie industry.

Having lived in the States all life, J.J explained why she saw nothing wrong with the explicit movies scenes. “I don’t have problem with it been exposed. We just have to make sure we… label it right so that families can pick the right content for their children to watch,” she insisted.

Her comments follow recent reports that actor Majid Michel showed his naked buttocks in the new two-cast movie: ‘Why Marry’.

But to JJ: “Well, it’s a comedy and what I saw unique about the movie is to expect the unexpected, even in American movies, there are some crazy scenes that mean nothing but yet it makes the movie so it really worked. All scenes are not supposed to mean something at all cost.”
