LEONARDO DiCaprio has topped the list of Hollywood's highest paid actors for the first time.

He earned £47million from box office hits Inception and Shutter Island, from which he picked up a slice of the profits.

The 36-year-old heart-throb toppled Johnny Depp from the top spot.

But Depp still came second with earnings of £30million in the year ending May.

Comic Adam Sandler was third on the annual list from Forbes magazine.

Only the top ten are revealed - and there was no place for Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, the sole Brit to make it in recent years.

2 in dock over £40k Theo raid

TWO burglars ransacked soccer star Theo Walcott's family home while he played in a Champions League match, a court heard yesterday.

They nicked £40,000-worth of loot including jewellery and a computer, it was said.

And they used car keys found in the £1.8million property to steal the Arsenal winger's VW Golf, jurors were told.

The raid in Fenden, Herts, came as Walcott helped the Gunners beat Barcelona 2-1 at the Emirates stadium in February.

The player's company director dad Donald, mum Lynn and brother Ashley were at the game.

Locals Kevin Wood, 32, and Ryan Lee, 23, deny burglary. Trial continues at Luton Crown Court.

Rihanna Strips In Barbados

Rihanna showed off her assets Monday (August 1) while she was on her home island of Barbados engaging in some festive activities.

The 23-year-old superstar entertainer, who just wrapped her North American Loud tour last week, took part in a Kadooment Day Parade and dressed the part.

The girl once known for wearing baggy jeans and crop tops when she first popped on the scene stripped down to a barely-there red bikini decorated with jewels and donned a matching feathery headdress.

By her side was her longtime friend Melissa, who also celebrated the occasion by dressing in a gold ensemble.

One male fan even had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal with Rihanna as he bent the fiesty performer down in front of him to dance provocatively in back of her.

Before taking part in the parade, Rihanna shared her love for Barbados via Twitter. “My home, my country, my people….BARBADOS!!! #1LOVE #SWEETfahDAYS NOTHIN’ BETTER! #RihannaNavy Miss u guys tho,” the red-haired ‘Cheers’ singer wrote.

Rihanna took part in Kadooment Day to celebrate the ancient tradition of people masquerading in clothing of natural materials after giving the first grown crops to the gods for good luck.

Kadooment Day is a public holiday in Barbados, which takes place during the Crop Over Festival. The event rejoices the end of the sugar cane crop harvest.

Chris Attoh Pops Up With Lover

Reports that actor cum presenter Chris Attoh, is dating one Andrea Manuela, a showbiz personality, seems to be turning into a reality.

On Friday evening, the two publicly displayed how romantic they could be and which direction their love life was heading when they both popped up at Jay Foley’s birthday bash.

They remained glued to each other as though they were a married couple.

Chris and Manuela were some of the earliest guests to arrive.

They spent the entire evening together, posed for the cameras and had their drinks together at Southern Palace Restaurant and Bar, opposite XFm where the party took place.

Grapevine talks say the two have dated for a long time and are even preparing to tie the nuptial knot.

Meanwhile, the party was exciting and it attracted a number of showbiz names.

Present were Trigmatic, Dr. Cryme, Yaw Sekyie, Dr. Duncan, EL, Mzbel and other entertainers who came to celebrate with Jay Foley.

Patrons were served with drinks and small chops, with Jeremie Van-Garshong in charge of serving.

Jay Foley cut his birthday amidst a birthday song by hundreds of friends who trooped the party.

Jon Germain's International Deal On Hold

A few months ago, Worldvuer Music Los Angeles and I Contact GH, the official record labels of pop rock star Jon Germain announced that 2 new singles from his sophomore album Enigma would be released on his birthday on July 25th. Due to reasons not explained by Worldvuer Music LA, the release has been put on hold. Worldvuer recently broke ties with EMI Records LA because the label shut down and has now signed a distribution deal with SONY RED to distribute music of artistes on the label including Jon Germain their official website www.worldveurmusic.com has revealed. The 15-track album Enigma is set to be released soon but no official date has been put up by the management of the “Love Zone” songwriter. His short musical career has indeed transcended borders with the release of his “SET THE NIGHT” video a month ago. The video is the third of his debut album “THIS IS WHO I AM”. The superstar recently re launched his official music website. The website www.jongermainmsic.com has taken on a fresh look with an in depth content on the music side of the multi talented showbiz personality. In a related development, the presenter extraordinaire confessed on TV this past week that he had a crush on super hot actress Nadia Buari when she made an appearance on his Allo Tigo show. Jon is not the first to have publicly made a statement about having a crush on the screen goddess.

VIP Leaves Paradise Entertainment

Yet another great partnership in showbiz has come to abrupt end. Pan African Hiplife group VIP (Vision In Progess) has parted ways with their management company Paradise Entertainment after two years. The Nima based Hiplife trio made up of Promzy, Prodigal and Lazy disclosed this to Peacefmonline.com in an exclusive interview. According the group they are now on their own and they are doing everything from singing in the studio, promoting and marketing their music, shooting music videos, managing their image and anything that has to do with VIP all by themselves. The group told Peacefmonline.com that they had a two year management contract with Paradise Entertainment, the contract has ended and they don’t intend to renew the contract. They added that even though they chocked a lot of successes with Paradise Entertainment lead by CEO Duke Banson who managed their previous award winning “Progress” album, there are a lot of other things which was not working at the management level. According to them a lot of things happened in the past between their management and other people which did not project their image positively but they didn’t know about it until they decided to be on their own. “You walk out there and people tell you things about VIP and you wonder when or how that happened”. The group is now under their own record label BDN (Boogie Down Nima) Records establish about six years ago with offices in Ghana and US with their American based business partner Hashin Harma based in Bronze, United State of America. “We have gone through a lot in our music career when it come to Executive Production and Management from the days of Precise Music, to Goodies Music Production, Paradise Entertainment and Muvingi Records over the years and we want to do things on our own now we want to get close to our fans and people who made VIP who we are”. They said because they have not dealt with people directly over the years, they feel a bit distanced from people who have been supporting them all these years so they want to open up this time. Though the group has already released new artists FOI on the BDN Records, they emphasized that their doors are opened for any new rapper or singer who thinks he or she has talent. “We want to discover talents and train them so that they will continue what we are doing”, they told Peacefmonline. The group is preparing to launch their seventh album titled “7/11” (Seven/Eleven) after releasing a couple of hit singles which has taken over the airwaves. They first released “U Be My Taste” followed by “Kiss Me Quick” which features R2Bees.
